Bring back the '67 border.  You know, the one where the West Bank was part of Jordan.

Maria Bartiromo questions Jim Jordan about ‘congressional investigations that go nowhere’
by Miranda Nazzaro - 04/28/24 3:55 PM ET

Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo on Sunday pressed House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on the lack of headway in House Republicans’ investigations into President Biden and other political figures.

Bartiromo and Jordan were discussing the Judiciary Committee’s latest report that alleges the New York County District Attorney’s Office’s (DANY) hush money probe into former President Trump is “political prosecution.”

“Well, look, I mean, at this point, American citizens are asking, what can you do about it? I mean, look, with all due respect, people are sick and tired of congressional investigations that go nowhere. People are sick and tired of letters being written and sent to the people who we know are bad in the first place,” Bartiromo said Sunday on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Jordan lamented his frustrations about the former president’s other legal battles in Washington, D.C., for his federal election interference case, and in Georgia, where he’s accused of participating in a scheme to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.

“They want you to do something about it. You’re an elected official. What can you do to right these wrongs?” Bartiromo added later.

“Well, we have passed legislation out of the committee that would help remedy this situation, particularly the one in New York, but the president or vice president can move a case to federal — to federal court from when you do these state prosecutors who are going after someone for a political reason,” Jordan responded.

Trump trashes ‘absolute disaster’ White House Correspondents’ Dinner, takes jabs at Colin Jost

Donald Trump on Sunday trashed the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after being mocked by President Biden and “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost at the annual event.

“The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was really bad. Colin Jost BOMBED, and Crooked Joe was an absolute disaster! Doesn’t get much worse than this!,” the former president, 77, whined on Truth Social.

Trump broke with tradition and skipped out on all of the White House Correspondents’ Dinners during his presidency.

Some have speculated that Trump was scarred by the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2011, when then-President Barack Obama mercilessly skewered him.

On Saturday evening, during the annual event for reporters and celebrities, Biden leveraged his appearance to take aim at his predecessor.

“I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old,” Biden, 81, said during his speech. “Age is the only thing we have in common. My vice president actually endorses me.”

I seriously want a blue state to mandate 100% EV.  The world hasn't had that much of a visual contrast between right and wrong since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

No, I mean Racing. Even hopping lights and Outlaw 1/4 mile. The REAL THING, even on the street.

Didn't we just read that Musk has a concept vehicle that can go 0-60 in 1 second?

I'm not an advocate of today's EVs...unless you live in a tropical climate and use it expressly as an errand vehicle around town.   happy77

LOL!  You mean like a big-screen projection TV?  Or a Commodore 64 computer?  Or an IBM 087 sorter?  Or a rotary wall telephone with a hand-crank?

Nah. You've never been in a quarter mile car or a drag rail, have you? And this coming from a guy who actually worked on an electric mini-drag rail, back in the day.

And I am perfectly happy to admit the superior torque that comes from an electric motor. That ain't the only consideration.

And I hope you have the money... because that EV will be worth nothing in a few years when the battery goes out of it.

How about a steam locomotive?  I'm sure Conestoga Wagon factory workers used the same argument back in the day.

Brazile: Supreme Court Close to Election Interference, ‘Justice Delayed Is Democracy Denied’

Pam Key 28 Apr 2024

Democratic strategist Donna Brazile said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that after listening to oral arguments, the Supreme Court was close to “election interference” with their consideration of former President Donald Trump’s immunity claim.

Brazile said, “I’ve never been here before, and I never thought in the years, almost 30 years that i worked in presidential politics and campaigns that I would ever have to figure out some talking points when your opponent in the case of Donald Trump is sitting in court all day and not on the campaign trail.”

She continued, “I have to make a statement, because I remember Bush v. Gore as if it were yesterday. I do believe that the Supreme Court is dangling into election interference by slowing it down. I’m not a lawyer, but I had to listen to the oral arguments the other day. What I heard again was, they weren’t talking about the facts of the case. They were coming up with all these hypotheticals. They should go ahead and allow this trial on January 6th to go forward in the district court, and we should know the results before the election.”

She added, “You can still argue the timing. I mean the district court of appeal rendered this decision in February. Jack Smith said all along, the special counsel, said back in December, go ahead. make the decision and they are dragging their feet.”

She concluded, “Justice delayed is democracy denied. That’s what’s at stake.”
