A better move for the 'Rats would be to keep Biden and replace Harris with someone likeable, with the idea that the VP would succeed to the Presidency in short order.  I'm not sure who they have that would be likeable, since their whole party is dominated by woke scolds and those who aren't are swamp creatures like Pelosi and Schumer, but they can surely find someone closer to likeable than Harris.

My 2017 Subaru has a tire pressure monitor problem, technician cannot figure it out told me to ignore it. It's one of those nagging things on modern cars that drives me crazy, when the sensor fails then you have this warning barking at you like a jack russell bleep terrier. Very irritating.

Mine is out on my 2015 Chevy Traverse. Would be pretty expensive to fix. I asked the mechanic if it was necessary for the functioning of the vehicle and he said no.

So I said no

Complete rubbish.  The translators who translated the Hebrew text into Greek at the behest of the Ptolemaic Pharoah, rendered the verse as ἐν ἀρχῇ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν, which leaving aside the word order difference between Greek and English is exactly what Tabor is asserting is a mistranslation.  Tabor is thus claiming that the best Hebrew scholars of the third century before Christ didn't know Hebrew well enough to get that translation right, and moreover that Solomonia when she exhorted her sons to bravery in the face of impending martyrdom didn't have the sense -- which she, like most Christians held to be creation of all that is ex nihilio -- correct.  (BTW, straight up creation ex nihilo cannot be proven from the Masoretic text used by protestants as the basis for their canon. It only occurs in Solomonia's exhoration in Second Maccabees, which we Orthodox Christians and the Latins still have in our canons of Scripture which are based on the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament prepared by Jews still awaiting the Messiah, not having followed Luther's delusion that the Masorete, a version selected from among many Hebrew versions by Christ-denying rabbis was a Hebrew ur-text, and thus authoritative.)

Sorry, the preview pane rendered the Greek correctly, for some reason the board does not.

While I concur, I will take exception with your mishandling of the Masoretic text -  The Dead Sea Scrolls are proto-masoretic, aligning more with the Masoretes than some would find comfortable.... and kicking that translation far back, to be, in cases, every bit as authoritative as the Greek. Particularly Isaiah and Daniel, which can be considered contemporary with the authors of the Septuagint.

And further, This Protestant, and many others, are just as conversant with the Septuagint as they are with the Masoretic text. Both have their faults. Both have their triumphs. But in general, where there is difference it is in the taking of liberties in the Greek by not defaulting to the Hebrew. It is, in the end, an Hebrew text.

Hey folks, let's at least get the name right.  He is a Republican Congressman that represents Florida's 19th district and his name is Byron Donalds, not Daniels for crying out loud.

Thanks...that was my mistake.  Fixed it!

I just went outside -- the Flower Moon is beautiful.  It still hasn't reached it's brightest point yet .....

Flower Moon: When you can see the last full Moon of spring

May's 2023 Flower Moon put on a stunning show from New York to Kenya.

The last full Moon of spring, which is called the Flower Moon, happens Thursday night.

Actually, if we are splitting hairs, NASA put the official full Moon, its brightest point, at 9:53 a.m. Thursday. However, the author of NASA's Skywatching Guide, a retired NASA program executive, wrote that there is no need to rush.

"The Moon will appear full for about three days around this time, from Tuesday night through early Friday evening," Gordon Johnson wrote.

NASA astronomers did capture it at it's fullest, though.

..........May’s full moon is known as the flower moon, a reference to its appearance in late spring, when many flowering plants begin to bloom again after their winter slumber. The glowing orb will reach maximum illumination on Thursday at 9:53 a.m. ET, according to NASA. ..................

Obama dropped cruise missiles all over the world. Obama had a 'hit-list' of people he wanted dead worldwide. And he did it (killing thousands of bystanders who just happened to be there). Obama assassinated people with no oversight and no confirmation from any intelligence agency. He just did it because, for him, it was fun.

Obama once bragged, "I am very good at killing people."

Trump announced to the World and Chairman Zi at a Gala in Mar~a~Lago that he was throwing missiles into Syria.

But they were gonna be so cheap it wouldn't pay to bill for electricity...

And had we made a standardized design, mass produced them, not built them on earthquake faults and with fail-safe shut down mechanisms, that prediction might well have come true.  Instead, each nuclear reactor was custom built, required its own separate permitting process, and the Soviet-backed anti-nuclear "greens" managed to use the non-event at Three Mile Island to gin up enough opposition that building reactors ground to a halt.

We should still do that, come up with a standard design (or three -- say a standard large uranium base reactor, a standard thorium reactor and a small modular uranium based reactor) and mass-produce them.  The climate change alarmists are deluded, but they have pointed out correctly that we cannot assume the earth's climate will remain at a climate optimum.  Whether it gets a lot hotter, or a lot colder, we'll need more energy to adapt should there be a radical change, and nuclear is the only realistic source.  (Heck, if we insist on building lots of AI, we'll need more energy even if the climate settles into something like the Medieval Climate Optimum for the next three centuries, and again nuclear is the only realistic source.)
