Islamic State Khorasan’s Westward Network Expansion Into Iran, Turkey, and Europe
ISKP’s retooling from regional operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan to a focus on external attacks and operational plots has resulted in a surge of both foiled plots and successful attacks.

The Islamic State attack on the Crocus City Hall music venue on the outskirts of Moscow, which killed at least 140 people and injured over 500 more, has prompted significant alarm among Western intelligence and security services about similar operations occurring in Europe and North America in the coming months. This concern is well-founded, given the aggressive campaign by the organization, its Afghanistan-Pakistan-based Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), and pro-IS propaganda outlets threatening attacks and urging supporters to carry out acts of violence against the West – with a particular emphasis on sporting events.

In addition to ISKP’s lead role in the Crocus City Hall attack, the branch conducted a double suicide bombing in Kerman, Iran, on January 3 causing almost 400 casualties, and shot up a church in Istanbul, Turkey, on January 28.

Since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in 2021, ISKP has pursued a regionalization and internationalization strategy in its propaganda production and militant operations. The latter part of this doctrine has led the branch to ramp up targets domestically against foreign diplomatic facilities and nationals, combined with the rapid acceleration of its external operation activities. The regionalization component of its campaign has largely been focused on South and Central Asia, but the branch has also been expanding westward and increasing its footprint and focus on Iran, Turkey, and Europe. This trend will likely continue and perhaps accelerate in the coming months and perhaps years, with considerable security implications across Eurasia and the broader West.

Inside Columbia’s ‘vandalized’ Hamilton Hall where pro-terror protesters came face-to-face with riot police
By Social Links for Richard Pollina

Columbia University’s iconic Hamilton Hall was left looking like a war zone after pro-terror activists smashed windows, set up barricades and destroyed furniture during their occupation of the building, causing an untold amount of damage.

The Ivy League school finally called on the NYPD to enter Hamilton Hall just after 9 p.m. Tuesday, with officers using a massive armored vehicle to push a bridge into a second-floor window to remove protestors that began occupying the space the previous night.

Images show that the occupiers had stacked chairs in doorways, staircases, and hallways — possibly as makeshift barriers to prevent police from reaching them.

New US Government chart outlines scope of China’s naval power
China’s PLAN operates the largest naval force in the world, a force that it continues to modernise in order to achieve its global ambitions.

The US Office for Naval Intelligence (ONI), an official department of the US Government, has released a newly updated and unclassified publication on the development of China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), detailing the scope of China’s naval power and expansion efforts.

Releasing its latest update on the 2024 Recognition and Identification Guide, the ONI revealed that the PLAN is currently maintaining a fleet of at least 153 major naval surface combatants, which includes aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and corvettes.

The ONI guide also indicates that additional Renhai-class guided missile cruisers (CG) and Luyang Mod III guided missile destroyers are also under construction, which have not been counted towards the total number of major surface combatants.

Also known by the Type 055 class destroyer designation – Nato classification lists the class as CG vessels – the type are significant naval assests, measuring 180 metres (m) in length and displacing in excess of 13,000 tonnes (t). The class are built as the successor to Type 052D guided missile destroyers (DDG), and feature more than 100 vertical launch system (VLS) cells housing a range of anti-air and anti-surface weaponry.

Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band perform at a fundraiser. The Gary Sinise Foundation aims to bring awareness and support to wounded warriors and their families

Gary Sinise is a national treasure. No matter how many times his Lt. Dan Band has played in Arizona (dozens!), playing for the military “never gets old.”

Actor Gary Sinise and his 13-member Lt. Dan Band have performed in Arizona at least 15 times since the band’s founding in 2003. But the thrill of playing for military families, veterans and the first responder community — most recently on April 28, 2024, at Luke Air Force Base in Maricopa County — never gets old.

“I always love coming to Arizona,” Sinise, best known for playing Lt. Dan on the film Forrest Gump and Mac Taylor on the CBS series CSI: NY, told We Are The Mighty. “I have great memories here from the 80s when my parents lived in Cave Creek.”

NYPD release video showing professional 'protest consultant' at Columbia University
Video released by NYPD shows 63-year-old Lisa Fithian, who has a long history of participating in protests like Occupy Wall Street

The New York City Police Department released a video showing a professional "protest consultant" who was seen on other social media videos instructing a mob of anti-Israel agitators as they took over Hamilton Hall at Columbia University overnight Monday.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams spoke about outside agitators during a press conference Tuesday evening.

"What should have been a peaceful protest, it has basically been co-opted by professional outside agitators. We were extremely cautious about releasing our intel information because our goal was to ensure the safety of the students, the faculty, and without destruction to property," Adams said. "We have sounded the alarm several times before about external actors who attempted to hijack this private protest."

Adams and members of his administration shared information about the outside actors who were creating "serious public safety issues" at the protests.

“I don’t think she is proving to be, no,” Johnson said Tuesday on NewsNation’s “The Hill,” when asked if he believes Greene is a “serious lawmaker.”

“I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about her,” the Speaker continued. “I got to do my job, and we do the right thing, and we let the chips fall where they may. That is my philosophy. That is how we are governing.”

His defiance comes ahead of a scheduled news conference Wednesday morning, in which Greene is expected to address her motion to vacate resolution, which she initially filed in late March. But, for weeks, the Georgia representative has declined to force a vote on the motion, even after Johnson championed more aid for Ukraine, which she opposed.

Despite her effort, Democratic leaders announced Tuesday that they would provide the votes to shield Johnson from a potential conservative coup, prompting Greene to vow to bring her resolution to the floor. Still, she did not say when it would happen.

100% true... Moscow Marge is not a serious lawmaker. I think the performative theatre that is going on by Moscow Marge and her ilk needs to stop.

Delta Force Selection: The Day K2 Ran 10 Miles With a Bullet Wound in the Leg
by George E. Hand IV

My Delta Selection class gifted the Unit with ten U.S. Army Rangers. K2 was one of the ten. He spoke very little, but his Ranger brothers spoke for him:

“Yeah, well, there’s strong, and then there’s K2 strong,” was a catchphrase among the men. I just didn’t get it. As I saw it, he was medium in every way: medium build, personality, intelligence, spirit.

I just didn’t see where the super strength part came into play; perhaps I eventually would.

In my day, the Unit was a fairly even split, with half of the men coming from the 75th Ranger Regiment and the other half, including me, from the Green Beret Groups. To us, the Rangers were rigid meatheads. To them, we were lazy and cheaters. I sheepishly agreed with the Rangers‘ assessment of us Green Beanies — in fact, it is the principal reason why I left the Groups to vie for a position with Delta.
