Mysterious interstellar object is caught on camera hurtling through the solar system - as scientist claims it could be an alien spacecraft

A mysterious interstellar object has been caught on camera for the first time as it hurtles through the solar system.

First spotted by NASA on July 1, scientists from around the world have now confirmed that this unexpected visitor has travelled through space from a distant star.

Officially titled 3I/ATLAS, the rare interloper is 12 miles (20km) long and hurtling towards the sun at 135,000 miles per hour.

Now, using a powerful telescope in Hawaii, the European Space Agency (ESA) has captured the first video of 3I/ATLAS as it makes its journey through space.

As the short video shows, the object is extremely bright, which means it is either many times larger than any other interstellar object or has another source of illumination.

Most experts agree that this extra illumination is caused by the fact that 3I/ATLAS is an active comet, producing a glowing 'coma' of ice and gas as it approaches the sun.

However, one Harvard professor claims that this might not be explained by natural means.

Wrong, CNN, Heatwaves Aren’t Becoming More Frequent or Severe

In the article “Heat waves are getting more dangerous with climate change — and we may still be underestimating them,” CNN boldly claims that human-induced climate change is making heatwaves “more common, intense and longer-lasting,” and that we are likely underestimating the risk. This is false, refuted by actual long-term temperature records. The available evidence clearly suggests that while urban areas do experience warmer nights due to the well-documented Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect, there is no global trend of increasing heat wave frequency or intensity after accounting for urbanization, data quality, and the selective reporting that plagues much of the mainstream climate narrative.

CNN does briefly acknowledge that overnight temperatures are increasing in towns and cities, pointing to the UHI effect as a culprit. However, they conveniently skip over the larger implication: these localized temperature increases are not evidence of a trend attributable to climate change. They are a function of sprawling urban development, asphalt, concrete, and waste heat from human activity, not a signal of global warming, much less a planetary crisis. Studies show that rural temperature stations, far from the heat-retaining concrete jungles, do not show the same rate of warming as urban stations.

Climate at a Glance: U.S. Heatwaves presents historical data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which show that heat waves were far more severe in the 1930s than they are today. The number of days exceeding 95°F in the 1930s dwarfs anything seen in recent decades, as seen in Figure 1 below.

Climate Change’ means whatever the Left wants it to mean

In a recent interview with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Joe Rogan touched on the issue of climate change, a favorite talking point for Sanders.


Predictably, Sanders insisted that climate change is not a “hoax.” To this, Rogan raised some of the problems with the common media and political narratives surrounding claims of a climate crisis. The exchange reminded me, though, that despite how silly and absurd climate alarmists look to most of us, the way they have structured the climate debate is pretty smart.

How frustrating is it when they say things like “climate change is real,” or, as Sanders told Rogan, “climate change isn’t a hoax,” with such gravity?


Yes, climate change is real. This beautiful planet we are blessed to call home has multiple types of climate regions and they all constantly change in one way or another, both subtly and sometimes dramatically, over time. Stasis has never existed on Earth. Change is the natural order. An unchanging planet is a dead rock -- deader than dead, because even other lifeless planets in our solar system experience seasons and long-term changes. Thus, climate change is not a hoax.

But that’s not what alarmists mean when they say, “climate change.”

The fossil fuel industry, despite powering over 80 percent of the global economy, receives less per unit of energy delivered than any other sector. ...

But in reality... it is green energy that has become dependent on subsidies. Not to compete, but to exist.

Why Taxing Wind And Solar Isn’t Insane And Deserves A Broader Debate

As usual, the mainstream media is losing its collective mind over the idea of taxing solar and wind power, due to a provision included in the thousand pages of the Big, Beautiful Bill. [emphasis, links added]


The important thing here is that the pundits whining about it clearly don’t understand what energy means in the context of public policy. We must begin by remembering that “energy” can mean many things, depending on the issue at hand.

If you ask an electrical engineer what “energy” is, he may specifically describe the voltage itself and how it travels, but not go further. But in a public policy discussion like this, the voltage is only a tiny slice of a much bigger pie.

How is the fuel converted into power? How is it stored? How is it transmitted? How much land, machinery, personnel, and security does the process need? How convenient is it for the users who need it? How much energy is lost in bridging that distance?

Sunlight is free; usable solar power is not.
