Just announced.
Sure to bring on an orgy of praise and weeping. I would be very much surprised if Obama himself doesn't go to the funeral.

Wonder if they will overlook the necklacing
They have up to this point
-
Any bets on Obama ordering all flags at half mast?
-
Whenever a commie dies, there is a mass orgy of idolatry in the media and elite circles...that he was a black revolutionary commie will most certainly amp that up to the point that all will be certain that the world can't possibly go on now that he is gone.
-
Plus it will take the failures of Obamacare off the front pages.

Of course he will milk that for as long as he can
-
The Daily Mail has 4 puke worthy articles about Mandela. I guess DM is not worth reading the top part of the website for about a week or 2
-
Obama to speak on live TV about Mandelas death...I already can't stand it.

Yep...it will be orgasmic, all mandela all the time on every single TV channel for days.
Thank goodness for The Blaze - they are not going wall-to-wall Mandela.
-
It's nauseating....the blanket preempting of all programming on FOX.
So Mandela passed away! Excuse me for NOT giving a damn. He means nothing to the United States. And he's not paying my utilities.
-
The only good racist, murdering commie is a dead, racist murdering commie.

Yeah....I can get too excited over this, that's for sure. :patriot:
-
It's even taken over ESPN. What the heck?

They don't want to talk about FSU's quarterback getting away with rape.
I opened Photobucket to get an avatar for Christmas, and every freaking picture is Mandela. Like a cancer that just won't go away.
-
They don't want to talk about FSU's quarterback getting away with rape.
Infuriating.
-
It's Michael Jackson all over again...... wall to wall...
-
It's Michael Jackson all over again...... wall to wall...
Even Greta...I heard all I wanted to in the first 5mins of the announcement...
-
My local news channel spent nearly the first 10 minutes of the LOCAL broadcast talking about the commie.

I have lost what little respect I had left for them over this.

My local news channel spent nearly the first 10 minutes of the LOCAL broadcast talking about the commie.
All of the Houston broadcast channels were nearly wall to wall with "OH what a great man Nelson Mandela was" crapolla!
Made me want to throw up!
-
Obama is behind the blanket coverage. The Left.
And Obama will ride on Mandela's death....trying to show their mirrored ideology.
it was Mandela who said you should "lead from behind....let others out in front think they're making things happen"
-
Mandela was a communist who is largely responsible for the destruction of South Africa.
Goodbye and good riddance.

Report: Obama Expected To Attend Mandela's Funeral In South Africa
President Barack Obama is expected to attend memorial services for Nelson Mandela in South Africa, according to a White House official.
The international civil rights icon, who died Thursday at the age of 95, will receive a 12-day state funeral expected to draw most of the world's leaders and dignitaries.
Given that Mandela was not a head of state when he died I suspect this is rather unusual though expected. I wonder if US TV will cover the funeral live.

I almost posted this afternoon if anyone wanted to take bets on O making a point to attend his funeral.......
-
Hope he never makes it back here.
SPLASH!!
-
I only have this to say:
Mandela was a terrorist.

I only have this to say:
Mandela was a terrorist.
Oh yes, but he was such a good man.
-
Yep! But you would never know it from the media! Even Fox is fawning all over the commie POS!
Take note of the coverage. It's a good 'tell' on who is bankster-controlled (hint: they all are).
Suffering for South Africans of all races has increased under the ANC communists while banksters are lining their pockets w/ the country's vast mineral wealth.
Happens every time...

Word on the street this morning is that Obammy will be attending Mandela's funeral, and as the local media is putting it, "give the Black President of one racially divided Country to honor another".

Of course he will and the MSM will fawn all over him....gotta get those poll numbers back up and Obamacare off the front pages....Barry right now is thanking his lucky stars on Mandela's death...

I only have this to say:
Mandela was a terrorist.
I believe in this story I find the truth is somewhere in the middle. There is no question that Mandela was a terrorist and did some bad things when he was young. He spent 27 years in jail for it. He was on our terrorist watch list up until 1993. People have completely white-washed that from his history.
On the other hand, Apartheid was an absolute evil that had to be stopped and he stepped up. People decry interventionism on our part but when we don't help promote those who share our values, leaders like this fill in the gap.
He wasn't as dismal of a leader as he could have been. He didn't institute Communism like many feared. However, he did institute a corrupt government that caused a lot of problems to this day. People of all races are suffering in South Africa because of it but the world has put Mandela on a sainthood pedestal.
He wasn't the absolute monster some are making him out, but he wasn't a saint either. He was a terribly misguided and wrong leader but he did help defeat a great evil of Apartheid.

So you are saying "the end justifies the means"?

No, I just think both the good and bad should be acknowledged. Otherwise, we come across as supporting Apartheid. We should at least acknowledge that one success but at the same time, the media and everyone drooling over him need to know he wasn't a saint, he was pretty bad.

Maybe a way to look at it how we'll look at FDR. We can acknowledge his success in WWII without discounting the travesty of the New Deal and many other things he did.

[[ Otherwise, we come across as supporting Apartheid. ]]
We _should have_ supported Apartheid.
It was all that kept the white Afrikaners from being at the mercy of the blacks of South Africa. And it's important to realize that the many if not most of the South African black population entered the country (over time) from the north. They came in search of work in the growing capitalistic nation that the Afrikaners had built. Essentially, the Europeans were there before many of the blacks.
Since Apartheid was ended, the new "majority" is using its power to drive white farmers from the land (often killing them), take over businesses, and establish a system that now is "de jure" discrimination against whites. The blacks of South Africa today are worse off than most of them were under Apartheid.
So one system of discrimination has been replaced by another.
But the media will never tell you this. Read the first chapter or two of Ilana Mercer's "Into The Cannibal's Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South Africa" and you will find out exactly what is going on there. BTW, Ms. Mercer was a former liberal opponent of Apartheid, now living in America. She has learned something since her earlier days.

The modern press has no purpose other than to revise history to fit the template prescribed by their one world masters!

Typical liberal.
Support a 'cause' that destroys the lives of millions and then move somewhere else to escape the consequences...

Reality is too hard to deal with for many in this country. OK especially libs only see things from one perspective, their own, but it seems to be creeping into the 'so called' conservative ranks. Mostly I think because no one wants to be racially divisive so what is denounced on one side, is defended on the other. Problem is, you can't have it both ways, or you shouldn't have, although that's what it seems.
In short, when was the last time you saw a "non-white" charged with a hate crime?

Gee, looks like one must be careful about treating Mandela with anything but reverence:
Arrested because he joked about Mandela: Police hold shopkeeper for eight hours, take his DNA and seize his computer - after local councillor objects to off-colour internet comments
By Wills Robinson
PUBLISHED: 05:55 EST, 9 December 2013 | UPDATED: 07:29 EST, 9 December 2013
A sandwich shop owner endured eight hours of questioning by police and had his computer seized for three weeks – after making tasteless Nelson Mandela jokes on the internet.
Neil Phillips, who runs Crumbs in Rugeley, Staffordshire, says he was also finger-printed and DNA-swabbed after officers received complaints about what he insists were harmless gags.
In one online post, the 44-year-old wrote: 'My PC takes so long to shut down I’ve decided to call it Nelson Mandela.'
Mandela, the former South African leader, and Nobel Peace Prize recipient, died on Thursday, aged 95.
Mr Phillips was arrested at his home on September 10 and was taken to a police station where he was quizzed about the postings on the Rugeley Soap Box website.
He said: 'It was an awful experience. I was fingerprinted, they took DNA and my computer.
'It was a couple of jokes, Bernard Manning type.
'There was no hatred.
'You can question the taste, but they’re not hateful. I told the police they got plenty of "likes". What happened to freedom of speech?
'I think they over-reacted massively. Those jokes are "out there", anyway.
'When they took my computer, I thought, "what the hell are they looking for?" To be questioned would have been over the top, never mind arrested.' ...
