The really bad news for down ballot Democrats would be if Democrats decided to stay home because the polls showed Trump with a commanding lead. Of course, that ain't gonna happen in any state with mail-in balloting. Those votes will be "harvested" regardless.

'ISIS Dry Run'? We Know How Two Jordanians Tried to Infiltrate a US Military Base in Virginia

It looks like the incident at Quantico Marine Corps Base Quantico on May 3 might have been a test run for radical Islamic terrorists. Two individuals tried to infiltrate the base, driving a box truck. The pair attempted to enter the base by identifying as Amazon drivers. Security didn’t buy it, and without further valid identification, they were directed to a holding area for further vetting. The men tried avoiding the area and gaining access to the base before being apprehended. Both are Jordanian nationals, with one allegedly being on the terror watch list. They’re being detained by ICE (via NY Post):

Two Jordanians who may have been doing a “dry run for Al Qaeda or ISIS” have been arrested after allegedly trying to scam and then ram their way onto a US marine base in Virginia with a truck.

    Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to The Post two Jordanian nationals are now in custody after being stopped at the front gate of Quantico Marine Corps Base, 35 miles southwest of Washington DC.

    “On May 3, 2024, Marine Corps Base Quantico’s Criminal Investigations Division arrested two Jordanian noncitizens for trespassing,” ICE Washington spokesperson James Covington said.

    The local site reported multiple sources saying the truck’s occupants had recently crossed the southern border into the US and one occupant was on the US government’s terrorist watch list.

    However, authorities would not confirm if either were on the terror watch list, elaborate on their intentions or what was in the truck, only saying the pair will remain in custody and will be deported from the US.

    The military officers reportedly realized the occupants of the vehicle had no affiliation to Quantico or approved credentials and directed them to a holding area to be vetted.

    “It was at that time, one of the military police officers noticed the driver ignoring the direct instructions of the officers, continued to move the vehicle past the holding area and attempted to access Marine Corps Base Quantico,” Curtis said.     “Due to the swift response and execution of their duties, the officers were able to deploy the vehicle denial barriers, prevent any further access to Marine Corps Base Quantico, and detain the individuals who were eventually turned over to ICE custody.


And what does the Biden White House have to say about this attempt to breach a US military base? Nothing.

1. Yes, I do know. I planted trees for Scouts for 3-4 years. 30% of 500 Million trees planted  is 150 million trees surviving. My math shows 150 million is greater than 17 million lost to wind turbines. My neighbor has one of the largest Christmas tree farms in the state. He has a 95% survivability of course this is different than a tree grown in nature with no human care.

2. It is estimated 250-300 thousand birds are killed each year by wind turbines. Another 2.5-3 billion die to cars, buildings, high tension lines etc. 300k is a far cry from 6 billion.

In the United States alone, outdoor cats kill approximately 2.4 billion birds every year. Although this number may seem unbelievable, it represents the combined impact of tens of millions of outdoor cats. Each outdoor cat plays a part.

3. Turbine companies are working diligently to solve the bird issue with wind turbines.
4. Turbines companies are coming out with recyclable blades and other co's are finding ways to recycle the old carbon fiber blades.

No one can predict the future, of course, or if there will even be one.  But all of us crystal ball gaze—if we live, it will be in today’s future.  So, we make plans and contingencies based on our best guesses of what the short-term and long-term will bring.  We do that individually, and we need to do it as a country.

The re-election of Joe Biden in November, as improbable and horrifying as the thought is to right-thinking Americans, is far from impossible.  All the polls tell us that, currently, Mr. Trump has the edge, but that the election will probably be close.  Of course, the polls tell us nothing about the amount of fraud and cheating the Democrats will do, and we know they WILL do it.  Indeed, in one sense, the polls instruct Democrats on how much cheating they will need to do to win.

You see, folks, “the will of the people” means absolutely nothing to Leftists like Democrats.  It meant nothing to Lenin, or Stalin, Hitler, Mao, or any other totalitarian dictator in history (or now).  The Democrats couldn’t care less about “democracy,” or what the American people think or want.  They care only about winning, about power, about control.

I mean, it was a trial. Anyone who partakes in a scientific trial like this assumes the risk.

And, I will note, as PeteS alluded to... the trial ultimately was unsuccessful, and though AZ sold it outside the United States, it was never authorized here, not even for emergency use.

There was a time when one could expect some semblance of moral clarity from John Kirby. It was never much, but in the early days after October 7th, the shadow White House press secretary seemed to chart his own path behind the podium. While Karine Jean-Pierre equivocated, he spoke directly about the horrors of Hamas and the need to defeat the terrorist government of Gaza.

In late 2023, while mainstream press outlets were busy trying to blame Israel for the lack of a ceasefire, Kirby didn't mince words.

Slowly but surely, though, he has been brought to heel, and whether it was by choice or not, at some point, doing "what you're told" is no longer an excuse. Indisputable proof of that transition came on Friday when Kirby gave this head-spinning answer about Joe Biden withholding already-appropriated aid for Israel.

I've got some news. I am not withholding my taxes from the IRS. I have just decided to place a pause on paying them, and that pause is still in place. Surely, the Biden administration will understand and take no action against me given this incredible new standard that has been set.

What do you even say to the stupidity that came out of Kirby's mouth? It's as shamelessly dishonest as Bill Clinton trying to redefine what the word "is" means but far more consequential given the issue at hand. When you stop giving someone something that they are due (Congress appropriated the aid to Israel), that is the literal definition of "withholding" it. Never mind that the president has publicly announced his intention to do so during a recent interview.
