Dog fights are real time. A quarter of a second can easily make the difference between success and failure. Remote control isn't real time.

It started by exploring the potential for AI to take autonomous control of UxV weapons but has grown to find that AI systems may, indeed, be more effective warriors than human beings. 1. The hype is in NationalInterest's headline.

2. The Bismarck was a slightly improved refried WW1 design. USS North Carolina and USS Washington (classmates) were more advanced, and had 16"/45 guns. And any of the USN's Colorado class, also 16"/45 guns, could have defeated Bismarck's armor.
