Lindsay Lohan is officially on lockdown in California, according to a report.

Lohan can't leave the grounds of the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where she is currently serving a 90-day rehab sentence, reports People magazine. Patients at the rehab clinic typically earn privileges, like permission to go shopping or get coffee. But not LiLo. She will be reportedly confined to the clinic's 20-acre grounds.
"It is understood by the Betty Ford Center that your client is to remain on the premises for the duration of her 90-day stay in treatment," reads a letter addressed to Lohan's attorney Shawn Holley and filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, according People. However, a source told the magazine that Betty Ford is "not a jail" and cannot hold a patient against his or her own will.
On Monday, an L.A. County Superior Court judge approved Lohan's stay at Betty Ford, the Los Angeles Times notes. Judge James Dabney said she must stay in the hospital wing since she is not allowed to walk out or leave with a pass.
Although Lohan might be on lockdown, she is still allowed to have Adderall, according to TMZ. Betty Ford will reportedly allow the 26-year-old to take Adderall due to her previous Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder diagnosis. However, doctors at the center are reportedly reviewing her need for the drug.
The actress' mother, Dina Lohan, is happy her daughter is back in rehab.
"I am so relieved and thankful that Lindsay is getting the help she needs in a credible place," she told E! News. "She actually wanted to go, whether the court said to or not. She is happy there, to get introspective and get back on the right track."
"She has a different frame of mind this time," she added of Lindsay's sixth rehab stint. "She realizes and she knows she needs help this time. She was like, 'I'm sorry, Mommy.' And I tell her, 'Don't say you are sorry. You just have to work on yourself and on getting well. Don't beat yourself up.'"

She is like a salmon swimming upstream. I'm afraid nothing is going to help her unless SHE decides she needs help... very few end up like Robert Downey, Jr. and turn their life around... and she just treats her forced treatment like a joke, she has probably learned at Betty Ford they don't treat you like a princess and expect you to make your own bed, etc.... I saw pics online of her packing for rehab... it was a total joke, taking something like 15 suitcases.

Like the actress or not, she is where she needs to be. A few on the list above speak quite eloquently about their problems, and their recovery.
AA is the backbone, but not the only avenue of recovery. AA draws upon a Higher Power. I would be disappointed by those who profess belief in a God, Power of God of Christianity, and yet gleefully ridicule people with a life and death disease. Sure, her life is unmanageable.
Step 1. in AA reads-
We admitted we were powerless over alcohol- that our lives had become unmanageable.
FYI addictive substances are called "mind altering" for a reason; they change your mind's ability to make good daily choices. It doesn't mean you are a bad person; you are a sick person.
If you really give a shite, read some of the stories from folks above. Full disclosure-I have over 19 years sober.

Ozzy Osborne has relapsed and is why he and his wife separated last month. Mel Gibson relapsed. Betty Ford was an alcoholic, so was George Jones and he relapsed more than once after he got sober.... so did some others on your list. Downey is one of the few who was so bad he went to prison because of his addiction.
Re: the majority on your list they realized they had a problem and it led to their sobriety and giving up drugs. George Bush is a good example of why many get sober, they literally wake up one day and realize what they are doing to their life and made a concerted decision to stop what they are doing.
Lohan refuses to acknowledge she has a problem, she has been treated with kid gloves throughout the entire process and has treated all of her rehab stints like a vacation - and why not, most of them allowed her to come and go at will and flaunt the entire process - using drugs and drinking while she has been in a few of the rehabs that didn't rehab. She refused to even go to Betty Ford unless she was allowed to keep her Aderall.. If you know anything about Aderall is it is a go-to drug for a lot of women in Hollywood to lose weight. So, now she finds out Betty Ford isn't going to be a vacation and she wants out... she knows if she goes to jail they will let her out in a day and she will be on an ankle bracelet again... the last time she was spotted all over the place partying... bracelet intact.... BTW Robert Downey, Jr. went to many of the very same so-called rehabs Lohan has been in with the same non-effect on stopping him... it was not until he went to actual prision he woke up and decided he wanted to live a sane and sober life.. Lohan like Downey is not a dumb person, but she is single-handedly destroying her life and her future as well as her career.
Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheens exwife, is back in rehab for the fourth time in a year... currently Denise Richards has temporary custody of Charlie and Muellers two twin boys - went to court this week - while Mueller once again was placed in rehab and the boys were removed from her because social services found them living in unsafe conditions over the weekend...
and we all know what happened to Whitney Houston - she refused to accept she had a problem, too. So did Elvis and too many others. Alcohol is bad enough, add in drugs and or- especially prescription drugs - it is a prescription for an early death.

Exactly....... and they are all afraid to say no to them. Betty Ford got sober after her entire family did an intervention with her. George Bush after tying one on and Laura telling him this was affecting their future decided she and their family was more important than drinking. Read the article I posted about George Jones last week. His wife was threatened because she was helping him get clean - the drug dealers were literally stuffing the drugs down his nose and some people who tried to help stop it died. That would not happen with you or I - most of us don't have the money of a George Jones - but when these dealers get hold of someone with money they bleed them dry or to death... Lohan has gone through ALL her money and the last attorney demanded a payment plan.

I don't think so, EC. And if you read about Judy Garland, for example, the studio started her on prescription pills that eventually took over her life and killed her.

To quote an actress I heard speak several years ago when asked about why she doesn't live in Hollywood. She described the culture in Hollywood as "pure poison" and that it will destroy anyone who is not very strong. This is why so many aspiring actresses end up on drugs and alcohol or turn to porn and/or "escorting" when their career dreams go up in smoke.

Lindsay Lohan is planning her escape from The Betty Ford Center because doctors at the world famous drug treatment center have taken away her supply of Adderall.
Lohan takes the drug for her ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) but Betty Ford's doctors prefer to treat the ailment with non-addictive Adderall alternatives, according to TMZ. One of the reasons doctors get their patients off Adderall is that they believe many Hollywood stars use the drug as a weight-control drug. The change in drug regiment has not gone down well with the "Mean Girls" star who is now searching for a rehab that will let her keep her precious ADHD meds.
There is no word yet on what Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Dabney will make of Lohan's planned escape after the judge ordered the troubled actress to attend 90-days of locked-down rehab.
Lohan checked into Betty Ford last week to start her 3-month stay in rehab but an interview with Piers Morgan appeared shortly thereafter which outlined just how hard a time Betty Ford's workers will have in getting Lohan to give up her hard partying lifestyle.
“I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times. I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time," Lohan told Morgan.

I read Charlie Sheen' s ex, Brook Mueller checked into Betty Ford Friday so she "could rehab with Lohan." This is her TWENTIETH time in rehab. She, too, treats it as a joke. Tried to have her boys placed with her brother instead if Denise Richards and the family court judge told her pigs want to fly too and the boys are staying put for now with Richards and their sister's where they are thriving...

Spending some time with the general population in LA County jail system may have some influence on mss lohan--since rehab is a "joke".

At the other end of the scale, some sober living homes will not take anybody using even prescription medications. Nothing, nada.
One in the OC is olde school harsh; called "low-bottom-indigent" sober living. They have strict rules. Everybody gets up early in the morning. That is in order to either go to work, or look for a job. No exceptions, no excuse.
I know some men from that place, and it separates those who are willing to work hard for the chance to get on a "normal" way of living.
We have everything from high end, to low end. The issue is not which program, so much as it is WHEN the "patient" is ready.
FYI a major problem in America, going almost unnoticed, is prescription drug addictions, in the elderly. Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson didn't think they were problem addicts, since a doctor gave them the meds.
And what does Lindsay want? Prescription meds. Mind altering ones. Towards the same end as street drugs, alcohol. Altering the mind.

Brooke Mueller's Mafia Connections? Actress Went On Rant Prior To Rehab (REPORT)

Brooke Mueller was reportedly ranting about her "mafia connections" when she was placed on an 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold earlier this month, reports TMZ.
The actress voluntarily entered rehab for prescription drug abuse after she was released from the 72-hour hold on May 4 -- and according to TMZ's sources it's a good thing Mueller was able to get some help.
Sources told the website that on May 1, a man called 911 from Mueller's Los Angeles home and claimed she had assaulted him. When cops arrived at the scene, the 35-year-old was reportedly rambling about how she is connected to the mafia, and told police that she had been in contact with FBI for months regarding her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, and that she had been giving them information that would "bring him down."
Police reportedly believed Mueller was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and appeared to be exhausted. Mueller's 4-year-old twins Bob and Max were in the house at the time, prompting police to call Children's Services, who have since placed the boys in the temporary custody of Sheen's other ex-wife Denise Richards.
Sources told TMZ that it was Adderall that triggered her alleged erratic behavior -- a drug that Mueller admitted she was abusing back in December 2012.
Mueller's rep declined to comment on reports of her mafia rant, but previously confirmed that she was getting help at UCLA Medical Center.
Mueller has since transfered to the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where she's apparently already run into Lindsay Lohan, who is serving 90-days in the center's hospital wing as well.
