Today on CNN’s State of the Union, Candy Crowley compared former POW John McCain with the traitor and deserter Bowe Bergdahl.
She actually had the audacity to ask Sen. McCain if Bergdahl’s life was less worthy than his. While retelling the stories of Bergdahl’s desertion and conversion to Islam Crowley asked, “Does that make this young man less worthy of rescuing from his circumstances than the young John McCain as a POW?”

Whatever you may think of McCain’s career as a Republican senator, it’s reprehensible to make a comparison between his captivity and Bergdahl’s desertion. When McCain was given the opportunity to leave the torture camp and go home in order to help his torturer’s propaganda campaign, he refused, saying he wouldn’t go unless every soldier captured before him were released as well. Meanwhile, six and possibly more soldiers died looking for Bergdahl after he walked out on them.
That Crowley would even dare ask such a question shows how little they understand or respect the military.

Candy Crowley proves yet again that she is a repugnant and reprehensible creature.

The question isn't whether Bergdhal was worth rescuing, the question is whether five high-level terrorists should have been released in exchange for him and whether recovering someone whose life was not in danger - in contrast to McCain's in Vietnam - is worth the additional cost Americans overseas will now face as terrorists realize they can get their buddies and fellow travelers back from America if they kidnap/seize other Americans and demand the release of terrorists as ransom.

I hope that she is not moderating the 2016 general election debates again. Its about time other news organizations like Fox lead the debates. As a moderator, I would have Brit Hume in there. Because he will ask the tough questions.
