Sen. Ted Cruz was one of just two U.S. senators to score 100 percent on the Club for Growth's annual scorecard for 2013.

The Texas Republican and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, were big winners in the fiscally conservative group's annual report.

Rounding out the top 10, Texas senior Sen. John Cornyn was in a three-way tie for 8th with Patrick Toomey, R-Penn., and Thomas Coburn, R-Okla.

After Cruz and Lee, Rand Paul, R-Ky., ranked 3rd; Michael Enzi, R-Wyo., and James Risch, R-Idaho tied for 4th; Tim Scott, R-SC was sixth and James Inhofe, R-Okla., was seventh.

Marco Rubio, another potential 2016 presidential candidate, landed in 12th place.

Now do you know why the media was so eager to hype Liz Cheney's primary run?

The conservative base knows where to pick its fights.

Sure! You can find any rating you want for any of them! What matters is what their rating system is based on and how much you identify with that!

It is actually an indicator of how bad most of the Senate Republicans are. Cornyn is moderate but is in the top 10 of 48. You have 38 who are more liberal than Cornyn. That is pretty sad.

And do you suppose the Senators that are elected by the voters in the states, reflect to some degree their views?

One way of looking at it is, that candidates to your liking, don't get elected. Like Akins, Angle, Buck, Hayworth, O'Donnell, and others.

The Tea Party did a helluva lot better than Rove's picks. When a TP candidate is running, the MSM, liberals,  and GOPe go after them like bees on honey.

It is a sad indication of the State of the country as well that it has swung so far left, collectivist, and pop culture. Too many are willing to just accept it as that and compromise with it instead of continuing to work toward moving it right. (and I wasn't crazy about half on that list you posted but they were better than their Dem counterparts).

Too many these days just want politics to get along and do what they are told is how it is and always will be. They remind me of the blue-hairs that are head of the local party. They just want to use it as a social club to get along with other blue-hairs, drink wine, and have an excuse to hang out together on donor's dimes. They hate anything that upsets the norm, a bunch of little-old ladies who just want things to favor their continuing to socialize with other blue-hairs.

The don't care what is right. They want to do what is easy.

My point is NOT about Rove or the Tea Party. My point is these candidates lost in states which recently had GOP incumbents.

Whether you approve of changed viewpoints in America or not, the GOP is increasingly on the losing side of some issues.

"Sad indication" doesn't win elections.
