Ford Motor Co. F, -2.42% has abandoned plans to import its Focus compact car from China, citing import tariffs put into effect in July, according to The Wall Street Journal.

I guess the tariffs are doing what they were intended to be doing, aren't they?

If consumers wanted to buy the Ford Focus, why shouldn't they have been able to?

Something like the Fair Tax would've been a better strategy. Welp, we'll see what happens with this.
