JUSSIE Smollett told officers he has a drug problem as they arrested him for allegedly staging a "racist and homophobic" street attack to boost his career, according to US reports.
Cops later said the Empire star had bought ecstasy from one of the brothers said to have helped him in the elaborate hoax.

He probably figured... considering the current climate of leftie idiocy against Trump and supporters... that he could get away with it. All he ended up doing is vindicating MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters and pissing off 'real' victims of supposed hate crimes. Considering that... the meme being circulated is that America is so great (again) now that a poor black gay guy has to orchestrate his own fake lynching.
I think the main upside to this is.... it got a LOT of coverage and now most Americans know what a liar (criminally so) some of these idiots on the left are.

GLAAD recently posted an update on that page. They admitted it's a hoax and offered refunds because they should not be raising money on Smollett's name, while keepng the page up for those who just want to support GLAAD.

This loser has a job playing make-believe that pays him 65 grand a WEEK,and he decides that's not enough money so he comes up with all this crap in an effort to get paid more,and as a result loses the big bucks he was already paid,AND killed any chance he will ever have of making that kind of money again.
His next job will have a uniform and he will be asking "do you want fries with that?"
And I can guarantee you that on the day he dies,he will still think he was a victim and all this was someone else's fault.

The Bond was set at $100,000, but I don't know if that was full cash bond or the 10% thing. There are enough Hollyweird celeb friends that would have pitched in. $100,000 seems a bit light for trying to incite a race war.
