Taking Molly to Court

She Was Just Doing Her Job... Wasn’t She?

The Last Wire

Molly is Meta.

Now she’s being hauled into court because some of the children encountered things their parents didn’t want them to encounter.

But before we decide how much blame belongs to Molly, there’s a rather elementary question worth asking:

Who hired her?

The parent did not surrender responsibility merely because the babysitter happened to be digital. Perhaps the real problem is that Molly has become extraordinarily good at doing exactly what we hired her to do.

This is a point of failure.  How do we make sure parents understand what they're hiring Molly to do?

A background on what Molly is would have been helpful IMO. I'm assuming it's like an AI babysitter or something?
