Dem Sen. Ossoff Attacks Trump, Says He ‘Doesn’t Want’ to Do His Job, Just Wants to Travel with Aide

Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) attacked President Donald Trump, claiming he “doesn’t want to do” his job and just wants to travel.

While speaking at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, Ossoff talked about the Iran war and slammed Trump for promising “peace” and instead giving the United States war. Ossoff continued to accuse the Trump administration of “lying a nation into war” and “treating citizens as fools and those who serve as pawns.”

“Aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, they’ve now been at sea for 240 plus days without a port call. It’s a Navy record. And still they serve with excellence. God bless the sailors, Marines, aviators, and all aboard the United States ship Abraham Lincoln,” Ossoff told the crowd. “See, they don’t expect luxury. They’ll endure hardship, but they deserve competent leaders who send them into combat only when necessary, and with decisive clarity of purpose, not fools who lie about the purpose and progress of war.”

“And while the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the President sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks,” Ossoff claimed. “So, he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”

Preston Harp, the brother of President Donald Trump’s close aide Natalie Harp, issued a message to his sister on CNN while denying a “physical attraction” toward the president.

Preston Harp joined Erin Burnett on CNN’s OutFront on Tuesday evening following his sister, whom he has been estranged from, finding herself at the center of heated debates after Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) name-checked her when blasting Trump’s priorities.

Natalie Harp is a close aide to Trump and travels with him often, even making the cut of officials who were recently taken off of Air Force One, along with the president, secretly in Turkey over an Iranian threat to the president. Others left on Air Force One were unaware of the threat.

Preston Harp said about his sister and Trump:

    Well, my mom raised us with the idea that American exceptionalism was the correct way of looking at things, that the United States is the boss of the world, that, like, you know, slavery was — back then, that was normal, people weren’t bad because they had slaves. And honestly, and it’s like Trump wants to take all those books out of schools. He wants to rewrite history. And so like I think that my sister, unfortunately, didn’t break out of that delusion that my mom raised us with, and Trump is like everything that my Mom taught us to respect. So I think that’s where her infatuation for Trump comes from, honestly, because I don’t think it’s a physical attraction. Let’s get real, you know, like, personally, I don’t think so.

CNN’s Jake Tapper chuckled at President Donald Trump’s White House taking “the bait” and overreacting to Sen. Jon Ossoff’s (D-GA) insults in “nuclear” fashion.

On Tuesday’s The Lead, Tapper said he tried to explain to White House officials that the fiery responses to Ossoff are only pushing more media attention toward him and his Georgia race.

“I mean, I think the White House really took the bait here. I mean, I was trying to explain to a White House person that by going nuclear against reporters for bringing this up or whatever, like, all they were doing was guaranteeing the story. And now we’re sending cameras to Georgia to see what Jon Ossoff has to say,” Tapper said with a chuckle.

During a Tuesday rally, Ossoff took multiple swipes at Trump, calling him a “draft-dodging crook president” and suggesting he wants to “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie to their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar” instead of actually doing his job.

Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff doubled down on the boorish remarks he made about President Trump and his executive assistant Natalie Harp — and even gloated about the frenzy he sparked.

At a Sunday rally in the Peach State, the Democrat lawmaker quipped that the president wants to “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie,” insinuating that the pair were romantically entangled.

The inappropriate joke was referencing reports that indicated that Harp was one of the few who joined Trump on his secret flight out of Turkey for the NATO summit last month amid concerns about an Iranian attack ...

Conservative critics quickly accused Ossoff of peddling an offensive and sexist innuendo — but the Dem has dug in.

“It’s been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week about Natalie Harp,” Ossoff relished on MS Now’s “The Last Word” Wednesday. ...

Melania is her own worst enemy.  Harp has been Trump's personal assistant for a while.  She makes sure he has water, diet coke, carries his laptop and phone, manages his social media.  The woman has a 22/7 job.....and she does it well or she wouldn't have it.

Harp, as usual, was at the DC Race on Sunday, as were the Trumps.  The security team tried to keep Melania and Harp apart and it was working ---- until Trump called Harp over because he wanted his phone.  Does Melania simply say hello and smile?  No.  Melania starts another public snit fest, gets up and walks away --- adding fuel to the media fire.
