Dr. Anthony Fauci advocated on Sunday for additional shots against the Chinese coronavirus, explaining federal health officials’ goal to give people a “boost from the original vaccine that they had.”
Appearing on CBS News’s Face the Nation, President Biden’s medical adviser suggested that booster shots, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently recommended specifically for immunocompromised people, is a goal for vaccinated people across the board.
“Right now, if we get boosters, you know, we’re talking about boosters. We already implemented boosters for the immune-compromised,” Fauci said. “It’s clear we want to make sure we get people, if possible, to get the boost from the original vaccine that they had.”
“But remember, the original dose of the Moderna is about three times what the dose of the Pfizer is,” he said, expressing hope the vaccines will receive full approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the near future.

It's based on a standard form that's been in use for some time. Some vaccines do require boosters, and the form allowed for recording reception of boosters. No devious plan, just being prepared for something not fully known.

I don't put it past the pharmaceutical companies to produce a vaccine that is wildly effective but only for a short time to ensure the maximum amount of sales. Remember, the first talk of boosters came from Pfizer and Moderna shareholder meetings. That's where corporate interests rest.

I haven't been on a plane in over a decade and as long as the democrats have America F'd up there is nowhere I need to go that requires air travel same for buses, though there were a couple of train trips we had thought about. Nope I'll just stay home, clean my boom sticks and reload as often as I can scrounge up material.

Pharmacist Arrested for Selling COVID Vaccination Cards Online
A licensed pharmacist was arrested today in Chicago on charges related to his alleged sale of dozens of authentic Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 vaccination cards on eBay.
According to court documents, in March and April 2021, Tangtang Zhao, 34, of Chicago, sold 125 authentic CDC vaccination cards to 11 different buyers for approximately $10 per card. Zhao was a licensed pharmacist in Illinois and was employed at Company 1, a pharmacy which distributed and administered COVID-19 vaccines at its physical locations nationwide. As required by the CDC, Company 1 provided a CDC Vaccination Record Card to each vaccine recipient. Zhao, who worked at Company 1 as a pharmacist during that time, obtained and subsequently offered authentic CDC vaccination cards for sale online.
The indictment charges Zhao with 12 counts of theft of government property.
“We take seriously, and will vigorously investigate, any criminal offense that contributes to the distrust around vaccines and vaccination status,” said Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite Jr. of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “The Department of Justice and its law enforcement partners are committed to protecting the American people from these offenses during this national emergency.”
“Knowingly selling COVID vaccination cards to unvaccinated individuals puts millions of Americans at risk of serious injury or death,” said Special Agent in Charge Emmerson Buie Jr. of the FBI’s Chicago Field Office. “To put such a small price on the safety of our nation is not only an insult to those who are doing their part in the fight to stop COVID-19, but a federal crime with serious consequences.”
“Stealing and selling COVID-19 vaccination cards is inexcusable and will not be tolerated,” said Special Agent in Charge Lamont Pugh III of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) – Chicago Region. “Fraudsters who engage in such unlawful conduct undermine efforts to address the pandemic and profit at the public’s expense. The health and safety of the public is our top priority, and we encourage people to obtain vaccination cards from their administering medical providers.”
Zhao is charged by indictment with 12 counts of theft of government property. Zhao made his initial court appearance on Aug. 17 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sheila M. Finnegan of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. If convicted, he faces a sentence of 10 years in prison per count. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The FBI and HHS-OIG are investigating the case.
Trial Attorney Leslie S. Garthwaite of the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section is prosecuting the case.
An indictment is merely an allegation and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

A little over 3 weeks ago my wife got her 2nd dose of the vax, a week later all 5 of us in my house tested positive for covid. Me and the kids got over it in a few days my wife had to be taken to ER yesterday and is in the ICU…. Prayers please

Both times, antibodies were detected. Recently, her doctor has been pushing for her to get the jab. A few weeks ago, he finally wore her down and she took the mRNA injection. Two days ago, she got another antibody test. This time it was negative.

Just got word from my kid's school that one of his teachers is showing symptoms and has tested positive. One of his vaccinated teachers. No telling how long this teacher has been exposing students to the virus before it found a way to bypass the protein spike vaccine.
So what is their recommended course of action? They are urging me to get my kid vaccinated just like the teacher.

I agree about spreading the virus. Those vaccinated can be carriers, and will exhibit few symptoms if the jab is working.
Cases are one thing, hospitalizations and mortality another.
In this State, mortality rates are lowest among children.
In this state, there are two in the 19 and under group in hospital, and of the 1560 deaths credited to COVID since this started (statewide), none were in the age group below 19 years old.
In short, children recover, often without being hospitalized.
Of those hospitalized, 86% were non-ICU patients (cumulative total).
There have been 20 breakthrough deaths (among vaccinated people).
Just under half of the folks in the State have the jab.
The data is here (https://www.health.nd.gov/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/north-dakota-coronavirus-cases) if you'd care to examine the trends. I believe they are fairly typical for COVID.
The greatest risk is to the 80 and over age group, and on examining the death stats, declines quickly to near zero for the under 30 group. Notably, comorbidities seem to be skewed the same way, and those are not factored in. Those charts are under the hospitalizations tab for ND at the website link above.
As for your situation, you know your medical history, and must make your decisions based on that.

I agree about spreading the virus. Those vaccinated can be carriers, and will exhibit few symptoms if the jab is working.
Cases are one thing, hospitalizations and mortality another.
In this State, mortality rates are lowest among children.
In this state, there are two in the 19 and under group in hospital, and of the 1560 deaths credited to COVID since this started (statewide), none were in the age group below 19 years old.
In short, children recover, often without being hospitalized.
Of those hospitalized, 86% were non-ICU patients (cumulative total).
There have been 20 breakthrough deaths (among vaccinated people).
Just under half of the folks in the State have the jab.
The data is here (https://www.health.nd.gov/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/north-dakota-coronavirus-cases) if you'd care to examine the trends. I believe they are fairly typical for COVID.
The greatest risk is to the 80 and over age group, and on examining the death stats, declines quickly to near zero for the under 30 group. Notably, comorbidities seem to be skewed the same way, and those are not factored in. Those charts are under the hospitalizations tab for ND at the website link above.
As for your situation, you know your medical history, and must make your decisions based on that.

I have to ask, when did school start, and whether testing ramped up independent of illness about the same time.

School started a few weeks ago. Schools have still given students the option of attending in person, virtual distance learning or home schooling.
As for testing, most of the testing sites were shut down and one large testing site has re-opened.
Since our county had a low rate of positivity, I can only attribute the increase in people actually contracting COVID to people spreading the virus through vaccination and the influx of people moving into the area.

It's based on a standard form that's been in use for some time. Some vaccines do require boosters, and the form allowed for recording reception of boosters. No devious plan, just being prepared for something not fully known.
That may all be true, I have no reason to doubt you, but when I got my second Moderna injection back in April they specifically warned me against laminating or losing the card because there may be a third injection. So they knew at least back in April they might very well be doing this, and that was well before Delta Wamma Bamma raised it's head. My trust in Fauci, the NIH, CDC, WHO and our government slammed so hard to zero it bent the pointer.

If I wasn't so trusting of our government, I'd almost say it appears that there might be some ethnic cleansing going on. Good thing we have so many pouring over our borders and refugees entering our country that will make up for the decrease in population.

Wow. Your schools open well before ours (10 days ago).
There is nothing like having one place everyone who suspects they might have the bug or is required to be tested can congregate and share germs, but I suspect an influx of people might bring the bug with it.
In counties with small populations, a few cases can be presented as huge rates (cases/some number that exceeds the population), we see that in ND, where the cases can be presented as a rate per ten thousand people in a county with just a couple of thousand residents, and the front number is 5X (or more) the actual number of cases.
The other question is one of whether the tests are accurate, or if there is contamination of samples that might otherwise prove negative.
