Former New York City mayor hits sanctuary cities: ‘You should obey the law’

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg criticized the concept of sanctuary cities Tuesday during a panel discussion on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Asked about his views on sanctuary cities — cities that don’t enforce federal immigration law — by economic analyst Steve Rattner, Bloomberg replied that “you cannot, Steve, have everybody deciding which laws they should obey.”
