A patriotic new logo has been unveiled that will be used to celebrate the United States' 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.
The semiquincentennial - which celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence - is set to be part of an attempt to unite America around the landmark.
The logo uses the number 250 with red, white and blue outlines in a ribbon type font, alongside the word 'America' in a classic black typeface.
Sagi Haviv, one of the designers of the new logo, said coming up with the right symbol for the semiquincentennial has been tough, having to test it on everything from t-shirts and hats to cakes. He avoided using the five-syllable official word for the celebrations - which is far more of a mouthful than the 200th birthday bicentennial celebrated in 1976.
'It's almost an impossible construction,' Haviv said. 'I think that has an additional level of meaning, because bringing people together today is almost an impossible task, but the result is beautiful.'

You mean it's not draped with a rainbow?
I bet the faggy alphabet crowd hasn't weighed in yet.

I'm not super impressed.

I'm not super impressed.
At least it's not woke. Unless there is some subliminal sh__ I'm missing.
OTOH, it is curving, randomly, and haphazard.... Kind of like our government the past 25 years.
-
Who paid for this? Is it supposed to be official, as in U.S. government approved and taxpayer funded? Perhaps I'll design my own 250th logo.

It seems like yesterday we were celebrating the Bicentennial .
I hope I am alive to celebrate this event.

Vanilla.

Rainbow? How about a black funeral ribbon for the nation that was?
-
I guess maybe they were trying to emulate a similar "feel" to the bicentennial logo with the red, white, and blue ribbons?

How do they hope to emulate the feel of America in 1976, despite the Nixon debacle Americans really felt good about the nation, but ever since Reagan the democrats have done nothing but hammer Americans about how terrible they and America are! No there is no way that there can be any emulation of the bicentennial in the America of today after decades of work by democrats and the socialist in charge of our children's education **nononono*

I don't disagree with any of that ... I was just talking about the logo itself with the r/w/b ribbons.

Uninspired ... looks like some is using the Netherlands' flag for a gymastic floor routine.
