Nobody knows how the White House plans to respond to the Mueller report—including the people who work at the White House.
The special counsel is reportedly nearing the end of his probe. Sentencing memos are dropping. Plea deals are being struck. The president’s legal team expects a response to his written interview “soon.â€

“Answering those questions was a nightmare,†he [Giuliani] told me. “It took him about three weeks to do what would normally take two days.â€
â€I was asked a series of questions. I answered them very easily,†he said. “You always have to be careful when you answer questions from people who probably have bad intentions.â€

Good ol’ Rudy.....

Seems to me by this time that we have been hearing rumors about a "Mueller Report" for a couple of decades, and nothing but rumors so far.

No contingency plan? No hypotheticals worked out? Why not?
I know, I know. Stupid questions, all. **nononono*

Rudy Giuliani has finally found his Waterloo and it wasn't Times Square p0rn or 9/11, it was Mueller.

Giuliani certainly buried his legacy signing up for this gig.

Because nobody knows what the bleep this report will be ... Cripes these stupid threads are getting tiresome.
-
Nobody knows. Perfect justification for Internet Outrage.
Like TDS, it is a bio-chemical reaction to stimuli.
As in "Winds you Up, again. Need the next dose.

But... they can guess. It's what you do in war. And this IS war. The Trump Team needs to be making contingency plans. You know... if Mueller does this, we counter with that. It ain't rocket surgery. *****rollingeyes*****
-
Because nobody knows what the bleep this report will be ...
Sure we do. There'll be a crap-ton of really damning unsubstantiated innuendo describing how Trump did not collude with Russia to steal the election.
-

Wouldn't all of this fall under a "Need to Know" subject line? I'd be up in arms if the President's inner circle had advertised their plans @XenaLee ... this *is*, after all, war.

So... are you suggesting that the "we have no plan" meme is merely disinformation for the enemy?
Good point (if so).
Bottom line.... the contingency plans need to be geared towards that "worst case scenario". Let's hope that is the case.

There is certainly a "need to know" umbrella around this. "We have no plan" from unnamed sources should read "we don't know what the plan is". But presenting this as they did is the Atlantic's way of making the President look foolish....ill-prepared. It's also how they're attempting to goad the President into divulging the plans.
I know they have contingency plans .... you know they have plans, the Atlantic knows they have plans .... but the Atlantic wants to know what they are so Mueller can edit his report accordingly.
@XenaLee
-
Plans, we don't need no stinking plans, Trump is just gonna fly off the handle anyway and call a bunch of people 2 syllable quirky names and all will be right in the world again.

If one thinks Trump has no plan, one is a damned fool.

According to John Solomon and Hannity, 'the plan' is to let them release the report, showing no collusion, then Trump will declassify the FISA information and unleash hell on everyone involved. I almost wrecked the car, laughing.

Damned fools... Not that I am counting but i see 8 who post amongst us. Just saying.

You're right. Of course he does.

You're right. Of course he does.
Plan: 1) Read the report. 2) Respond to it.
Details of Plan: Unknown but not clearly important. Trump obviously can convene and manage a select committee of counselors.

The Atlantic does some good stories sometimes, but they are very clear where their political sympathies lie, and it ain't with Trump. This is a nothing story. And, it's stupid too.

That's the way I interpreted your post, of course.

You identify as an elephant?

Because nobody knows what the bleep this report will be ... Cripes these stupid threads are getting tiresome.
Of course. What Whitaker needs to do is keep the report under wraps until a White House response can be released simultaneously. The problem, of course, is that the report is likely to be leaked by enemies of the President.

President Donald Trump says his legal team has already drafted a rebuttal to any report issued by the special counsel in the Russia investigation.
Trump took to Twitter on Friday to say his legal team is preparing to counter special counsel Robert Mueller’s findings on whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russian election interference.

So he has a plan? Impossible, the article at the top says he doesn't.

Well, he also had a middle class tax cut that would be voted on before the midterms.

Kinda sucks to have a Legislative Branch that isn't subservient to the King.
