What If Biden Wins in November? Part Two
Mark Lewis

What will happen in America if Joe Biden wins a second term in office beginning this November?  In my previous article, I forecast the general trend of the country short-term, i.e., over the next four years.  That’s not really difficult; all one must do is look at Biden’s first term.  He isn’t going to change.  A victory in November will only inspire him to perhaps even accelerate the metamorphosis of America that he and the Democrats seem so determined to accomplish.  Economically, morally, in foreign affairs—there is no sunshine on the horizon for the United States if Biden is victorious this year, especially if America gives him one or both houses of Congress.

But what will the long-term consequences be?  This is obviously more problematic to predict, but I will try to use my powers as a historian to reach some conclusions.  Fortunately, I will probably be dead before most of the below happens, so I won’t be hearing anyone laugh at me if I’m wrong.

Long-term

The first thing that will happen—provided the country survives to another Presidential election—is that the Republican faithful will again be hoping that 2028 will be their year.  We can’t nominate Donald Trump again.  Ron DeSantis will likely be the Republican nominee for President.  His chances for victory will depend, not on the continued incompetence of Biden (if he makes it four more years, of Kamala Harris if he doesn’t) or even the persistent decline of the country.  DeSantis’s chances will rest on how successful Democrats are in making voters of the countless millions of illegals they’ve allowed into the country.  Turning even a few of the red states blue will doom the Republicans in national elections, maybe forever.  That’s the Democrats’ plan, of course.  The Republicans’ hopes for the Presidency in 2028 depend upon winning in 2024.

J6 Inquisitors Nail Their First Big Name
By Jack Cashill

The New York Times editors could barely contain their glee.  “Conservative Family Scion Sentenced to Nearly 4 Years for Jan. 6 Attack.”  The subhead spelled out the details: “Leo Brent Bozell, the son and grandson of influential right-wing figures, shattered a windowpane in the Capitol, pursued a police officer and made his way into the speaker’s office during the pro-Trump riot.”

If the conservative movement has royalty, the Bozell family can rightfully claim a place in court.  Leo’s father, L. Brent Bozell III, is the founder of the Media Research Center, and his grandfather, L. Brent Bozell, Jr., was a founding father  of the National Review.  Leo’s grandmother is Patricia Buckley Bozell, and his great-uncle is William F. Buckley, the original editor of the National Review and the public face of American conservatism for nearly a half-century.

Although Leo “Zeeker” Bozell, 44, gave up his claim to the Bozell throne long ago for the quiet life of construction work in small-town Pennsylvania, he had name enough to bring out the inner Stasi in the DOJ’s weaponized prosecutorial corps.

JUST IN: Judge Cannon Calls Jack Smith Out For His Dirty Tricks in Rare Sunday Order
by Cristina Laila May. 19, 2024 7:00 pm

Judge Aileen Cannon called out Special Counsel Jack Smith for his dirty tricks in Trump’s classified documents case in a rare Sunday filing.

Jack Smith has repeatedly warned of a ‘significant, immediate’ threat to the government witnesses if their names were unredacted.

The Special Counsel has been fighting to keep the names of government witnesses a secret. He also opposed the unsealing of discovery material because one document confirms the existence of another FBI investigation.

In a five-page order, Judge Cannon, a Trump appointee, said that she is “disappointed” that Jack Smith has demanded redactions for “witness safety” when it benefits him, but ignored those concerns at other times.

“[The] Court deems it necessary to express concern over Special Counsel’s treatment of certain sealed materials in this case. In two separate filings related to sealing, the Special Counsel stated, without qualification, that he had no objection to full unsealing of previously sealed docket entries related to allegations of prosecutorial misconduct,” Cannon wrote.

Judge Cannon said that “nowhere in that explanation is there any basis to conclude that the Special Counsel could not have defended the integrity of his Office while simultaneously preserving the witness-safety and concerns he has repeatedly told the Court, and maintains to this day, are of serious consequence, and which the Court has endeavored with diligence to accommodate in its multiple Orders on sealing/redaction. The Court is disappointed in these developments.”

Blanche asks Cohen how many reporters he's talked to since last week

Trump attorney Todd Blanche started things off Monday morning by asking Michael Cohen how many reporters he's spoke to since testifying last week.

"I didn’t speak to reporters about what happened last week," Cohen said, but when Blanche followed up, Cohen admitted to having small talk with journalists.

"I’ve spoken to reporters who just called to say, 'Hello,' to see how I’m doing, to check in, but I did not talk about this case," Cohen said.

Blanche had previously quizzed Cohen on his relationship with reporters earlier in cross-examination.

Why Trump Eagerly Accepted Unfair Debate Rules
He just wants to get Biden on stage so tens of millions of voters can get an unfiltered look at the man.

Any experienced negotiator knows that, if his opening offer is immediately accepted, he has given away too much. Consequently, it must have rattled President Biden’s handlers when former President Trump instantly agreed to their debate proposal, despite its extravagant demands concerning format and rules. The Biden team very likely expected Trump to balk at some of those preconditions, which would have enabled them to portray his frequently repeated offer to debate “anytime, anywhere” as an empty bluff. Instead, he gleefully exclaimed, “Let’s get ready to rumble.” Moreover, he proposed additional encounters beyond those offered by the Biden campaign.

Tellingly, Biden’s people have declined to allow their candidate to face Trump in any other venue or on any other date than they initially proposed — CNN on June 27 and ABC on September 10. Trump has accepted two other debates, including one jointly hosted by NBC News and Telemundo. Considering Biden’s sagging support among Latino voters, his team should leap at the chance to communicate with this crucial voter bloc. Yet Biden’s campaign chair characterized Trump’s interest in this debate as a dirty trick: “No more games. No more chaos. No more debate about debates.” This suggests that the Biden campaign believes it has more to lose than to gain from participating in further debates.

And they are probably right. This is why Trump isn’t worried about debate rules other than the one requiring his opponent to show up. It will not have been lost on the former president that Biden’s debate challenge was issued in a 14-second video riddled with jump cuts. That such a short video required so much editing doesn’t bode well for Biden’s ability to remain coherent for two hours on live television. Another reason the Biden campaign refuses to consider additional debates may well be that they are in denial about how badly they are really doing in the polls. The Wall Street Journal’s Edward Lawrence asked Democratic pollster and former Clinton advisor Doug Schoen about it and his answer was unambiguous:

1) This is not going to make anyone happy.
2) How ridiculous. The ICC does not have the authority. It’s like some five year old declaring he is owed ice cream before bedtime.
