Must have been a miracle.

Yes, we saw the Friday PM GFS model; we aren’t stressing

I hope my friends in Texas will be ok. Hope it’s just some much needed rain
-
Joe Bastardi just changed his tune from a "failure in the European model," to "I'm keeping an eye on the Western part of the Gulf of Mexico next week."
Some experts are beginning to sit up and take notice of the potential.

We really do need rain, Freya. Mid to upper 90's and no rain for a month. Even though I water my plants every night, they're wilted by the afternoon. Just another Texas summer.
-
I will say that I believe the day isn't too far off where we'll be able to accurately predict hurricanes weeks ahead of time. Maybe in ten years, or so.

We must be getting all your rain. It's been a weird year here so far for weather. Our Spring lasted much longer than usual and we've had a ton of rain including about 2 weeks in May where it was pretty much overcast and rainy all the time. And, our normal late afternoon showers are coming in the early afternoon.

Until a week or so ago, our YTD high temp was in January.

Nothing to see here. Move along people. This is just a new ploy to to make the masses hysterical and boost the new overlords...the Gods of the weather forecast

In San Antonio this afternoon 3 drops hit my windshield. That's it. A few pop-ups on radar but scattered and won't do any good. I'm worried for the critters and the trees. Way too hot way too early.

I love the folks from Texas. But I hate heat. I’d like Alaska or Antarctica I like cold
-
Yikes! I catch a chill when it drops under 80.

I understand that. But, I hate serious cold. We have nice winters here. Regularly below freezing, but snow is rare. It's a big event when it does snow.

So, that's where it is. Can we make a trade?

I'll trade you for Roos.

You are dreaming. I never said a thing.

So you get to keep me and she gets the rain? @Sanguine dear, I'm sorry, but even I have my limits on what I'm willing to do. You'll just have to be drought.
-

I'm so glad you checked in. I was worried about you. :silly:

The deal is off Roos. Sang reneged. You all are on your own now. Mano on Whamo.
-
I'll take @RoosGirl if it means I don't have to water my grass every other night, we're in Stage 2 water restrictions here.
*she can sleep on the couch if I'm not beefcake enough.

Who do you think would really be the one sleeping on the couch?
-
After reading you for over a year, @RoosGirl I really doubt if you'd allow me to sleep in the same town with you, much less the same house, besides we both know how jealous Frank is.
before I forget to mention that I respect the shit out of you, I'll say......oh never mind..
-
I've been rejected because I don't have rain and I won't sleep on the couch. Good to know where I stand. **nononono*

You may come here any time. We have plenty of rain and a nice comfy bed you won't have to share unless you want one of the dogs with you.

Uhhmmmmm....... you might want to rephrase that dear.

Apparently I am over my own head.
-
Obviously, I am too, @INVAR way over my head.... moments after telling @Emjay I love her I have apparently insinuated the Woman I've always admired here @Sanguine (50 miles up the road) can't sleep on my Couch......I should quit before I piss off RiV.
-
Y'all make me laugh. It's all good, Corbe, and thanks for the interesting offer, Roos!
-
I found a Sanguine on bookface, Is this you, @Sanguine?

Smart lady. If corbe knew that was you he'd never leave you alone.
-
That Woman, whoever she Is, will definitely be in my dreams for the next few mornings during REM and other things.
Hopefully my subconscious mind won't turn into the other chick with a Bullwhip~Frank.
Either way I think I'm gonna be bruised in the morning.
-
@RoosGirl
Wow! You are loved! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Tell me what’s your secret? I guess I gotta leave my state. The only real men here (from this site) are very happily married.
But I guess people can say on the other hand, comment about women in my state....I don’t think it will be too flattering
-
Yikes! I catch a chill when it drops under 80.
Wow. I'm most comfortable at 60-65, but if I am outside working, between 40 and 55 is just about right.
For me, 80 is getting hot.

While I was not the author of the latest GFS run you posted, I have to state that I LIKE NUTHIN!
The guy in the original video has also noted the models went from Cat 3 to *poof*.
Weather is always changing, which is why it is so hard to predict.
-
Looks like we might get some very much needed rain latter this week and early next week.

Most times they just make shit up as they go!

Both of us!

I saw a waterspout yesterday, but no hurricane.

Actually, I've been to the NOAA Weather forecast office and I have seen how the Weather Forecast Gurus predict the weather:

So far this isn't showing up on my Weather Underground. But, in the Eastern Pacific there's a storm "Bud" that may be a Phoenix rainmaker.

That Buds for you.

That Buds for you.
I hope so. This time of June is usually the end of a long dry spell, and this year is no exception. We've had < 0.75" so far this year.

"An area of disturbed weather in the western Caribbean Sea may cause flooding problems along its path to the Gulf of Mexico despite a small chance to organize into a weak tropical system this weekend.
A broad area of drenching showers and strong thunderstorms is forecast to drift northwestward from the western Caribbean to the western Gulf of Mexico over the next five to seven days.
Development seems unlikely over the next few days and may not occur at all, despite sufficiently warm waters, according to AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski." :th_10444:
