These pamphlets were dropped on the ground by a man, 20, who was covered in flames outside the Manhattan courthouse Friday where the criminal "hush money" trial of former president Donald Trump is underway.
The strange books were titled “The True History of the World (Haunted Carnival Edition)."

Man, 20, who lit himself on fire is possibly homeless: cops

Police sources said the man is 20 years old and possibly homeless.
He had been sitting on a bench inside the park when he suddenly threw his belongings on the ground and doused himself in something before going up in flames.

The man who lit himself on fire outside Manhattan court during former President Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial Friday has been identified by police as Max Azzarello, a Florida man who describes himself online as an “investigative researcher.”
Moments before he doused himself in gasoline and set himself ablaze, Azzarello tossed a stack of pamphlets into the air, which included links to a Substack newsletter apparently authored by the self-immolator called “The Ponzi Papers.”

Whatever his state of mind, he felt deeply enough about it to immolate himself, something I would not wish on anyone.
As for how he is doing, my guess is medium well. A minute lit up that thoroughly will likely prove fatal.
A note to folks who have what can be described as "conspiracy theories": If you have done good research, from reliable sources, and have something solid, at least stick around until you can say "I told you so!", whether you actually say it or not.

But a closer look at the path the man had traveled to this moment of self-destruction revealed a recent spiral into volatility, one marked by a worldview that had become increasingly confusing and disjointed — and appeared to be unattached to any political party.
