If one applies themselves in life, your chances of succeeding are greater than if you drop out of school and gangbang regardless of your race

But the Democrat Party needs black and brown people to fail for the party to succeed

Sinkspur wasn't pro-greenie from what I recall, just hated Trump with a passion and swore up and down without a doubt that he'd lose in 2016. Whoops!

I don't remember sinkspur ever calling me a right wing extremist either.

banddag/sinkspur wins again by destroying another thread.

When will you folks learn about the "ignore" option?

First the obvious disclaimer. Maher was there to hawk a book, and not give any indication of changing ideological teams.  Quite a price to land him for the show.  GG allowed him an entire block to allow him to discuss.  Still,  this is the biggest high profile guest he's landed.

I think the intent was showing that there is a lot of agreement, if we forego and tone down the rhetoric.  Show did try to focus on agreeing, rather than red meat that Gutfeld throws to the crowd.  Common ground. seemed the theme.

Mahner did go into his Trump insurrectionist rant. He also made a point that it was important to differentiate Liberalism and "Woke".  He seems to think that the two really need to be decoupled.

Over all, minimal friction.   And I for one, have always thought that Maher was 75% reasonable, and a TV political pundit that is a rare rational Liberal.  Disagree with him 95% of the time,  still, he often provides an interesting take to the counter POV.

Agree with your take on him.

Study finds MASS MIGRATION is a bigger problem than climate change
05/15/2024 / By Ava Grace

Mass migration is a bigger problem than climate change, according to a global study whose results were recently released.

The Copenhagen-based Alliance of Democracies Foundation and marketing insights firm Latana elaborated on this finding in the Democracy Perception Index (DPI) 2024 study. It involved 62,953 respondents from 53 countries – representing 75 percent of the world’s population. The study was conducted between Feb. 20 and April 15.

It found that in European nations, many believe tackling mass migration is far more important than tackling “climate change.” Only 14 percent of respondents to the DPI 2024 study have placed climate among the top three priorities for government.

“Since 2022, more and more Europeans say that their government should prioritize ‘reducing immigration,’ and fewer say that their government should ‘fight climate change,’ the report observes. “Now in 2024, for the first time, reducing immigration is a greater priority for most Europeans than fighting climate change.”

Offshore wind is gearing up to bulldoze the ocean
05/08/2024 / By News Editors

The Biden Administration has recently produced a wave of plans and regulatory actions aimed at building a monstrous amount of destructive offshore wind. No environmental impact assessment is included.

(Article by David Wojick republished from CFact.org)

Time scales range from tomorrow to 2050. Here is a quick look at some of it, starting with the Grand Plan.

“Pathways to Commercial Liftoff: Offshore Wind” is the grandiose title of the Energy Department’s version of Biden’s vision. Their basic idea is that having successfully traversed the unexpected cost crisis, offshore wind is ready to take off.

BYD Electric Car Showroom Catches Fire In China, Tenth Blaze Since 2021
by Sebastien Bell  60 mins ago in Electric Vehicles, News Reading Time: 3 mins read

A massive fire broke out overnight at a BYD showroom on May 16, leaving little more than the bare framing of the building, the skeletons of a handful of vehicles, and soot. [emphasis, links added]

Fortunately, no one was killed in the blaze.

Videos shared online show large clouds of smoke billowing in the skies above the showroom, giving the entire surrounding area an orange hue as the flames reflected off the rising plumes. In the background, loud bangs and pops can be heard.

The fire started at 12:32 a.m. in Qingkou in Fujian Province, and seven fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, report HK01.
