BREAKING NEWS: Trump's Supreme Court nominee hit with bombshell claim of drunken sex attack when he was 17 as woman says he held her down, covered her mouth and tried to force himself on her
Trump Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is expected to be confirmed by October 1 when the court begins its next term
But a top Judiciary Committee Democrat has a letter accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct while in high school
Top D.C. #MeToo attorney is believed to be representing the woman at the center of the allegations
The New Yorker reported that the woman wrote her congressman to say Kavanaugh had tried to force himself on her at a party when they were 17
The congresswoman shared it with Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat onthe Senate Judiciary Committee
Feinstein reportedly got the letter over the summer but chose this week to move forward at an inopportune moment for Republicans
An FBI official says the Bureau won't open an investigation, but instead would hand the material to the White House
It's likely the woman's claims would legally be a dead issue because of statutes of limitations that prohibit most prosecutions of decades-old crimes
Judiciary Committee Republicans quickly released a glowing open letter from 65 women who knew Kavanaugh during his high school years and support him

A woman from Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh's teenage past claims he and a high school classmate once held her down in a locked room while he covered her mouth and tried to force himself on her sexually.
The bombshell charge, which Kavanaugh flatly denied on Friday, followed 24 hours of speculation about what Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein vaguely called 'information' that she had handed to the FBI.
The alleged teenage party incident was described in a letter from the unnamed woman to Democratic Rep. Anna Eshoo, her California congresswoman. Eshoo passed it to Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the rancorous Senate Judiciary Committee that is weighing Kavanaugh's nomination.
In a statement, Kavanaugh told The New Yorker: 'I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.'
The classmate said of the allegation, 'I have no recollection of that.' The woman declined The New Yorker's interview request.
The specifics, however, are riveting. The woman claims in her letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate, both of whom had been drinking, turned up the volume of music in the room so her cries of protest couldn't be heard outside. In her telling of the story, she managed to escape the room.
She also says the memory of the incident drove her to seek psychological treatment.

Anita Hill all over again. DiFi should be censured over this. If there was any possibility it was true she should have brought it out the second she received it, but no the Beyotch sought to play politics.

Attempted rape? Sounds to me like he quit when she said "no".... otherwise he would have continued. So.... where's the crime here? Is this all the idiot left has?

I think she should be sued for defamation and those "psychiatrist" records/documents/notes should be subpoenaed. When found to be a liar, she should be prosecuted to the fullest letter of the law. Unless or until that starts happening, these sub-human pieces of excrement will continue to attempt to destroy careers and reputations.... and influence elections (Roy Moore, example).
-
Note that the accuser is being represented by one of those MeToo attorneys. I suppose this bogus movement is behind the allegations and working with Feinstein and the Dem powers that be to sink Judge Kavanaugh's appointment.
Sounds like the Roy Moore treatment, except so far there is only one accuser. But I'm sure Feinstein and the big money behind MeToo are working feverishly to find more accusers.

Ronan Farrow: Accuser claims Kavanaugh tried to force himself on her in high school, Kavanaugh denies
AllahpunditPosted at 12:01 pm on September 14, 2018
Congratulations to Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, I guess.
No, no, wait. The offense alleged here is serious, much more than Kavanaugh and a pal locking a female classmate in a room or whatever, as was claimed yesterday. And Farrow’s track record (he co-wrote the piece with Obama apologist Jane Mayer) will lend it a patina of credibility to readers.
But the evidence is thin as can be.
The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result.
In a statement, Kavanaugh said, “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.â€
Kavanaugh’s classmate said of the woman’s allegation, “I have no recollection of that.â€

@Bigun
Nowhere. Di-Fi or someone on her staff created it,or she would have been shouting it from the rooftops, and the woman would be appearing on The View and every other left-wing whackjob teebee show. Kimmel and Colbert would be knife-fighting to see who gets her as a guest.

She will come. They are just firming up the narrative, making sure she doesn't drift, getting some optics lined up.

I suppose from the Democrats perspective they are desperate so they’re willing to do anything. But it seems hollow hearing the same people who gave us the one grope rule for Bill Clinton suddenly caring about alleged sexual harassment claims which can never be substantiated

65 Women Sign Letter Supporting Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh
“HE HAS ALWAYS TREATED WOMEN WITH DECENCY AND RESPECTâ€
https://www.thepostemail.com/2018/09/14/65-women-sign-letter-supporting-supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh/ (https://www.thepostemail.com/2018/09/14/65-women-sign-letter-supporting-supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh/)
In apparent response to an alleged letter from an alleged unnamed individual reportedly provided to unnamed “federal investigative authorities†on Thursday, 65 women who say they knew U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh during their contemporaneous high school years signed a letter Friday to U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) vouching for his “character and integrity,†among other attributes.
The Sixth Amendment provides for an accused to have the ability to face his or her accuser(s). Feinstein has said the alleged Kavanaugh accuser “declined to come forward or press the matter further.â€

This is probably not going to work but you guys are not seeing it from the Democratic Party’s perspective.
They are getting tremendous pressure from their left-wing base to stop him from getting on the court at all costs. Many of these Democrats see were long established Democrat politicians are losing primary elections to extreme leftist. They are aware that their antics are hurting their image in the eyes of the public at least in the short term. But they will deal with that at a later time
I’m not saying I agree with what the Democrats are doing nor am I saying I believe or disbelieve the story. I’m just temporarily putting myself in a democrat congressmen’s shoes and desperation makes people do some irrational things

If we are reading the tea leaves correctly, this is an act of desperation. Maybe it would not change some laws on the books immediately or ever by alone nominating Kavanaugh but in all likelihood, he will be there for decades to come and that alone might be motivation enough.

So basically..... desperation is making the scummy Democrats act even more scummy than usual...? It's easy for them, actually. They have no values, no morals and nothing that bars them from outright lying to destroy someone's career and life.... just because that someone disagrees with their political ideology.

People are not rational when they’re desperate. It’s just part of our nature

I'm just wondering from what movie or TV show the woman drew from to make up that accusation.
-
The more this goes on, the more it reminds me of the Roy Moore fiasco. Accusations of sex crimes work like a charm to drive a wedge between factions of the GOP. Just look at the all-out war that broke out on TBR over Roy Moore.
If the "crime" is right, the accusers will be believed no matter what. Protestations about the suspicious timing of the accusations will fall upon the deaf ears of those claiming moral superiority.

I really hope so. I lost a dear friend we both know over the Roy Moore thing. We were together again for a while, but we never really reconciled our differences and now she's gone.

@mystery-ak
The thing about "these crimes" are that they put the accused in the position of having to prove they are not guilty without the accusers ever having to go to court to prove their charges.
It's nothing less than a freaking 21st Century witch hunt.
How the HELL can anybody PROVE they are innocent when no one ever appears in court before a jury, and no one will EVER appear in court over this because there is no evidence a crime was committed.
-
.... of those claiming moral superiority.
That is why I like to maintain moral superiority no matter the time.

It's worked for them several times in the recent past, why wouldn't they try it again?

Yup. The Rats would be insane to not follow a sure-fire playbook. The plays in the book may not always work, but they work often enough to keep following the book.

It does sound like a story line from Law & Order SVU. The difference is that such a story line -- a teen raped by another teen -- would be in the present -- not 20 or 30 or more years ago and not brought up when the accused rapist has become a SCOTUS nominee. There would also be evidence, a police report, maybe witnesses. None of these exist in the Kavanaugh accusation.
-
@Cyber Liberty
I dusted off my copy of "The Usual Suspect" after reading this piddiful rat attack.
I figure in a day or two we will be in Roy Moore meltdown.

Sure he could, but history has shown he really doesn't need any evidence. The way this, Roy Moore and the rest of the MeToo matters works is someone makes the accusation, the media runs with it and incredibly stupid people accept the accusations as truth. Don't really need any proof. The accused, on the other hand, has to try to defend himself and refute the accusations. How does one prove something didn't happen.
What we then have is a kangaroo court where, unlike a real US court. the accused is guilty until proven innocent. Since he can't prove a negative, he is automatically found guilty.

@Weird Tolkienish Figure
I'm no lawyer and don't play one on teebee, but my guess is "NO,because he is a public figure".
Besides, that backfires more often than not because it helps keep the lies being reported in the media, and the great unwashed public tend to believe what their teebees tell them.
"Ignore it and hope it goes away due to lack of evidence" seems to be the only real option.

Great post.

My question is, How did they find her? I doubt she came forward on her own after almost 40 years. This has all the hallmarks of a Soros/Democrat funded operation.
I can only guess that they went through his yearbook, probably all of them since 9th grade, looking for any kind of statement that they could twist into a scandal. They must have done interviews with people they could find that were in any way associated with Kavanaugh. What ever clubs he was in. What ever sports he played.
Something/someone pointed them to this woman. They put tremendous pressure on this admittedly mentally challenged woman to 'remember' something/anything about Brett possibly with some financial incentive. So she transferred an incident that may have happened to her or not, or maybe she read it in a book or saw it on television, and simply inserted Kavanaugh into the story. Eureka! We have our 'smoking gun'.
Evidence is not the issue. The only thing that matters is the seriousness of the allegation. And this is where the Democrats lose on this issue with Kavanaugh, because the 'seriousness' is not serious at all. After all, she has admitted that he 'let her go' after she complained, if it even happened at all, which I doubt. What is the charge for a 40 year old incident concerning how a 17 year old treated some girl he may or may not have ever met?

This looks like maybe a dry run - even as we speak, I'm sure they're lining up and grooming bevies of Anita Hill's to spring on the next nominee, whoever it might be. For the right bogus "victim" it's a ticket to fame and fortune...

Well that is possible. I've heard Liberals say before when they conducting a sex abuse attack on someone, 'Can 20 women all be lying!?' The implication in this question is that the sheer number of accusers must necessarily mean that it is true.
Obviously this is absurd. But with the press complicit in the persecution it frequently works. Instead of investigating each claim on its merits, they just go by the number of accusers and declare summarily that they all must be telling the truth solely because there are so many of them. Ridiculous.

Until I see a name next to the allegations I agree, but am I to assume I must condemn Kavanaugh now because Roy Moore was accused by multiple women and collaborating witnesses that Moore was a pedo-predator? Sounds like the MSM sophistry. Why would a well informed Briefer regurgitate it @Sighlass ?

No (to assuming), just as Kavanaugh, should be assumed not guilty until actual proof is presented. Also being it is way past the time limit, not just circumstantial bs proof, but concrete proof.
-
Apples and Oranges..
No real proof in either of them, both were way past the time limit for a court case. Both running for higher office, both hated by the establishment. Apples and Apples.
