By Owen Daugherty - 11/09/18 11:35 AM EST
More native born Texans voted for Democrat Rep. Beto O’Rourke than incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R) in their Texas Senate race, according to an exit poll from CNN.
While Cruz won reelection by roughly two and a half percentage points, O’Rourke beat Cruz by three percentage points among those born in Texas.
Fifty-one percent of respondents in the exit poll who said they were from Texas originally voted for O’Rourke, while 48 percent of native Texans said they went for Cruz.
In contrast, 57 percent of respondents who said they moved to the state voted for Cruz, compared to 42 percent who voted for O’Rourke.
O’Rourke himself is a native of El Paso and representing the district in Congress. Cruz is originally form Canada but grew up in Texas.

If they asked me, I'd tell them I'd voted for O'Rourke, too.

i had mentioned this in another thread, but I didn't know it was an exit poll at the time.
I would definitely want more info, and demographics, before I'd call this right or wrong.
I would believe the opposite would be true, but it is interesting.

I would point out that there are a lot of anchor babies in Texas. This is one reason why the Dems have been predicting that Texas will soon turn blue.
Apparently the Dems did not take into account the huge flood of Americans moving away from blue states to become Texans.
