Power Grab: Biden Admin Tries to Control National Guard, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Claps Back
Bob Hoge

In yet another power grab by the Biden Administration, the Defense Department in March asked Congress to override an existing law that requires governors to approve changes to National Guard units. The proposal would allow the Defense Department to have unilateral power to transfer units to the Space Force because perhaps they’re preparing for an alien invasion or something.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R), long a thorn in the side of Biden on the illegal immigration issue because the president refuses to protect our borders while the Republican governor takes the border invasion seriously, is fighting back and pointed out in a letter to the White House that the move would shatter long-time precedent.

“Although the Texas Air National Guard does not have these types of missions, I strongly oppose any attempt to sideline governors when it comes to their respective National Guards,” Abbott wrote in his letter, dated May 3. "Congress has long required the consent of a governor before units can be transferred out of the National Guard he commands.”

Abbott argued that the proposal would set a dangerous precedent and was nothing more than a “power grab.”

“By departing from this sensible arrangement and allowing the Secretaries to dismantle National Guard units on a whim, Legislative Proposal 480 would set a dangerous precedent. Members of the Texas National Guard must always stand ready to respond to natural disasters, civil disturbances, and cartel activity that threaten our way of life,” Abbott continued.

How fortunate for illegal "newcomers" there is such a fine sanctuary city for them to murder, rape, steal, and assault people in.  It must feel like home.

NYC voted for this. So I don’t want to hear their complaining

Do they know the penalty for leaving Islam is death?

Yes, it’s all about Islam.

The “Palestine” thing is just another cover for the real issue.

Let these fools convert.  See how long they last.  Including before their heads are chopped off.

Comparing the disasters of a 10 year old industry versus one that has been around 120? And comparing the scale between the 2?  I knew you were a closet enviro-whacko.

Not to add the fact, your faction is wanting to take us back to the 19th century. Do a little research, of what will happen if fossil fuels are eliminated, and then come back and discuss.

Fossil fuels will never be eliminated. FF are needed for manufacturing  goods as you know. No one is saying so except the very far left wackos.  The US govt has said natural gas will be needed for the next 100 years. Heck,  biden is giving millions to coal industry to develop new ways to use coal.

You should know that large corporations control the agenda in this country.  Why Amazon and WM were allowed to stay open during the shutdown and small mom and pop stores had to close.

Record oil and gas production under biden in 2023 and that is continuing in 2024.  But wait I thought the fear porn sites said biden would destroy  the oil  and gas industry. lmao.  Record amount of new wells pumped and  fracked,  Biden may tell his greenie base he is going to get rid of FF but at the same time he looks over and winks at the gas and oil co';

US Energy admin. US Natural gas will continue to grow for decades to come.

There must be some internal polling inside the Trump camp that shows RFKjr is harming his chances as opposed to Biden’s. Here’s what Trump was saying not that long ago

It’s great for MAGA, but the Communists will make it very hard for him to get on the Ballot,” Trump continued. “He is Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, not mine. I love that he is running!”

Trump attorneys object to prosecution plan to reveal 'full details' of sex act with Stormy Daniels

Attorneys for Former President Trump objected to prosecutors' plans to go through the "full details" of the alleged sex act between pornography actress Stormy Daniels and Trump during the New York criminal trial.

Trump's team argued there is no need for the details, and they further argue that there is an issue with her credibility since Daniels has signed papers saying the sex act didn't happen.

Prosecutors clarified that they would "not go into details of genitalia."

Judge Juan Merchan sided with prosecutors, saying they could ask Daniels for the details they outlined.

Daniels is expected to take the stand this week, and could do so as early as Tuesday. Trump is alleged to have given her a $130,000 hush money payment through former lawyer Michael Cohen ahead of the 2016 election.

'Penny pinching? You bet. I'm all for it,' Trump wrote in book excerpt shown to jury
By Ben Kochman

Trump defended the practice of "penny pinching" in another book excerpt shown just now to jurors.

“Penny pinching? You bet. I'm all for it,” Trump wrote in "Trump: Think like a Billionaire," published in 2004.

Trump also noted that he once proudly cashed a check for just $.50 as part of a "test" by Spy Magazine to find the "world's cheapest billionaire."

“They may call that cheap, I call it watching the bottom line,” he bragged in the book.
