What the Polls Say About Today’s Primaries

Joseph R. Biden Jr. is ahead in Michigan, but Washington is shaping up to be extremely close.
By Maggie Astor

    March 10, 2020, 10:00 a.m. ET

Six states are holding Democratic primaries or caucuses on Tuesday: Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota and Washington, worth a collective 352 delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

There have been no recent polls by reputable organizations in North Dakota. Here is what the polls say about the other five states.

See more at: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/10/us/politics/democratic-primary-polls-michigan-washington.html (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/10/us/politics/democratic-primary-polls-michigan-washington.html)

Biden may be close to wrapping this up but let's not forget, the MSM are likely wanting him to be the nominee. MSM not to be trusted... but heck, when Bernie was on top, we got all of these anti-socialist articles, rightfully but then, the alternative is Joe?

Note, Hawaii above is Republican caucuses.

Mini-Super Tuesday, I like that, quoting from Newsmax's John Tabacco's Liquid Lunch, I've really gotten back into Newsmax lately, every one to their own, OANN is very popular.

There's a big block of delegates still out in the Great Lake states: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.

I think that's where it will be decided. Michigan is the first of those tonite. Illinois and Ohio the 17th.

Bernie has to win these handily. We still have a number of southern states out, including big ones like Florida and Georgia that Biden is likely to win easily, and the Bern needs to counter quick or he's out.

What time do polls close?

There are six states voting, with the following closing times:

Michigan — 9pm ET

Washington — 11pm ET

Missouri — 8pm ET

Mississippi — 8pm ET

Idaho — 11 pm ET

North Dakota — 8pm ET

How many delegates are at stake?

There are a total of 352 delegates up for grabs on “Big Tuesday”, which amounts to around a quarter of what was available one week ago on Super Tuesday.

By state, they offer:

Washington — 89 delegates

Missouri — 68 delegates

Mississippi — 36 delegates

Idaho — 20 delegates

North Dakota — 14 delegates

The democrats are having a primary. Oh, the drama!

Who cares about them? Luckily, most voters have enough discernment to reject them all as unqualified to lead the greatest country on earth.

Heck, I never did like clowns.

Bad news for Sanders, having won that state in 16.

The Dem nominee has been chosen, someone tell Sanders.

I was hoping it would be Sanders as I think he is easier to beat.

The Biden machine scares me a little as the press thinks all his idiotic gaffes are *cute*, well the ones they report on. I do think Trump will mop the floor with him in debates if Biden debates. I am anxious to see his VP pick, the one who will actually run the country or another stooge like Biden with someone else pulling all the strings behind the scenes.

This will be interesting to watch.
If the dems wait until after biden get elected before resigning, the replacement VP must be approved by both sides of the congress.
Not sure what the dems rules on the primary is but if I was advising them, they should wait until biden has enough votes to take the nomination, the delcare him brain dead and swap him out.

Stick a fork in Bernie, he's done.
Agreed. Not sure if Sanders is all that upset by losing.
He is much more of an ideologue than he is a national politician.
Now he gets to shout critical rants from the bleachers, (power to the workers! communism is great!) without having to actually perform.
Me thinks even Bernie knows that there is no way possible for him to deliver even a third of what he has promised.
He is old and ill, and I think he is looking for a back door OUT.

Actually that’s the smarter choice for them. Sanders jeopardizes the downticket races. An incumbent President is tough to beat. They won’t “lose” the WH this year because they didn’t have it.

The Democrats are absolutely body slamming Bernie in every election. The message is clear.
GET OUT OF OUR PARTY!! Jeez man, how clear do we have to make it!?

I have been saying for months now that the Democrats aren't stupid enough to nominate Joe Biden.  I was wrong.
They are not voting for Biden. I mean come-on, he is clearly senile.
They are voting for the DNC. They are voting for the DNC to choose his VP for him.
That is the 'real' Democrat Candidate 2020, and we don't even know who it will be yet.
Could be Hillary. But if the sneak her in at the last minute, I still think Trump will win in a landslide.
Nobody wants her except a very corrupt felonious gang of criminals who are trying hard to evade prosecution.
I still do not believe that average Americans will vote for her, even now.

A North Dakotaian dimocrat?  Somehow I see that demographic as a burnt out hippy living out in old silver Air Stream trailer.  Living his dreams of shrooms and weed in a county park.
