Daniels, Trump attorney trading jabs on cross-examination

Stormy Daniels seems agitated by questions from Donald Trump’s attorney Susan Necheles early on in cross-examination.

Her tone has changed slightly as she answers questions in a matter-of-fact way, sometimes punchy at a louder volume, when speaking with Necheles.

Meanwhile, Trump appears to be reclined back in his seat sitting between Emil Bove and Todd Blanche.

She then added: “I want him to be held accountable."

Do you have ANY proof that Trump ever slept with Stormy Daniels (or whatever her real name is) If so ,  I would love to see it.  Do you remember Roy Moore?

We have no solid evidence that he slept with Stormy. But I have a hunch that he did. It may not be exactly as she described. But Even if he did, that is not a crime.

Do you have any proof that Biden showered with his daughter?

Tear up your voter registration card and move into a convent.  You'll be happier than you've ever been.

She’s not required to do any such thing

Move to mistrial serves as a reminder of the wild Stormy Daniels morning testimony

From Rob Crilly, Senior Political Reporter inside court:

The mistrial move was a reminder of just how wild Stormy Daniels' testimony was this morning.

Judge, court reporter and prosecutor all had to ask her to slow down at times. And Judge Juan Merchan told her several times to answer only the questions she was asked as she embarked on asides and diversions.

Most notably, she seemed to have no recollection of how she ended up half undressed on the bed, something very different to the account of a consensual affair she was trying to sell in 2016.

So it was no surprise that the defense moved for a mistrial, on the grounds that her testimony would poison the jury againt their client. This is what defenses do. And it was no real surprise either that Judge Juan Merchan said there insufficient grounds for a mistrial.

From inside the court: Is Trump asleep?

From Rob Crilly, Senior Political Reporter inside court:

Trump is leaning back in his seat. Eyes closed. So is he asleep?

He scratches his neck. Eyes still closed.

He looks comfortable and it is warm in the courtroom.

He opens his eyes a crack. And then closes them again.

He leans his head to the left, and then back to the right, all without opening his eyes.

This will be the new mantra.  Fox is run by Paul Ryan.

But still dominated by pro-Trump on air talent.  Get back with me when the likes of Hannity, Gutfeld, Ingraham, and Watters concur or change direction

Stormy's testimony is an embarrassment for the entire Trump family!

So our choices for president is a past president that slept with a porn star or a president running for re-election that sniffs children and showers with his daughter.  Neither is acceptable!!!

People wonder why this country is in the sad shape that it's in...because the current and past presidents represent the moral decay in this country.  It is NOT ok!

Do you have ANY proof that Trump ever slept with Stormy Daniels (or whatever her real name is) If so ,  I would love to see it.  Do you remember Roy Moore?

Daniels apologizes to court reporter for talking too fast

During a quick sidebar before cross-examination, Stormy Daniels apologized to the court reporter for talking to fast.

"Is that better? I talked slower for you," Daniels told the court reporter.

She then added, "I'm sorry."

There are some biggies, a few of which are:

Presidential immunity for Trump
...
The regulatory power of federal agencies
Loper Bright Enterprises, Inc. v. Raimondo and Relentless, Inc. v. Department of Commerce

Argued Jan. 17

In a major challenge to the power of federal agencies, these two cases call on the Supreme Court to overrule its 1984 decision in Chevron v. National Resources Defense Council. That case laid out the framework, known as Chevron deference, that requires judges to defer to an agency's interpretation of ambiguous statutes if it is reasonable.

Obstruction charge for Jan. 6 defendants

Anti-camping ordinances
City of Grants Pass v. Johnson

Argued April 22

Arising out of an Oregon city's ordinances banning public camping, the case raises whether it's a violation of the Eighth Amendment's protection against cruel and unusual punishment to punish homeless people with civil citations for camping on public property when they have nowhere else to go.

There are very significant cases besides those I quoted.
