California Gov. Gavin Newsom Says Disneyland & Other Parks Not Opening Soon As He Reveals Disagreement With Disney Chief Bob Iger
“We don’t anticipate in the immediate term any of these larger parks opening until we see more stability in terms of the data.†Those are the long-awaited words of California Gov. Gavin Newsom on the fate of the state’s still-closed amusement parks.
“We feel there’s no hurry to put out guidelines, and we continue to work with the industry,†he continued.
Those words will not land softy on the ears of those who run local theme parks, including Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain. Collectively and individually, they have called on the governor over the past few weeks to allow them to reopen, saying that their business is more amenable to preventing COVID than many that have already been allowed to open in the state.

I guess Iger and Disney haven't given enough to Newsom's campaign fund.

Goobernor Noisome won't be up for reelection for another two years. This pronouncement probably underlies Iger's departure from Noisome's commission, http://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,416279.0.html (http://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,416279.0.html) . Disney and other park operators know how to handle guests "safely", having done it in other states, but November 4th isn't here yet.

Gavin Newsom just killed Disneyland.
Every company in the state is seriously considering leaving.

Disneyland brings billions of $$ a year into Orange and LA Counties, to the park, to Disney hotels, and to thousands of hotels, restaurants, and store all over the counties. And while Disney might be the biggest gorilla, it isn't the only one. Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, and Magic Mountain are also major theme park players in the two counties.
And as I posted above, Disney, Universal, etc. have already deployed and refined proper health and safety protocols in Florida and probably other states (IIRC, Magic Mountain is a Six Flags park). There is no scientific or rational reason for keeping these parks closed. It's a political tyranny designed to hurt California's and the US' economy. Because Orange Man BAD!

Now do something only Walt might have thought of. Pack it up and move it somewhere out of California. Lock Stock, And Barrel.
