Trump's politician buds skip out during mid-morning break, after flouting no-phone-in-court rule

Trump's politician supporters appear to have deserted him during the trial's 15-minute mid-morning break.

Sens. JD Vance and Tommy Tuberville and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis had all been seated behind Trump in the courtroom's second row. All are gone now.

The pols were all observed typing away on their phones during the morning's proceedings, violating the court's rules. Court officers did not appear to speak to them about this.

The courtroom has four clearly visible signs telling audience members not to use their phones. Court officers have hassled reporters and members of the public for glancing at their phone for even a half-second.

How Trump's courtroom cheerleaders spent the morning session: Live tweeting

From Rob Crilly, Senior Political Reporter inside the courtroom:

Sen JD Vance spent the morning session live tweeting proceedings from the second row of the courtroom.

So although Trump cannot comment on witnesses, his supporters can ... and did: 'Michael Cohen admitting he secretly recorded his employer. Just totally normal conduct, right? The best part is he said he did it only once and only for Trump’s benefit. A standup guy!'

Vance and Trump's other cheerleaders, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis and the AGs of Alabama and Iowa, have not returned after the break

Michael Cohen resumes testifying
By Kyle Schnitzer

Cohen is taking questions from prosecutors about phone records. Cohen testified that he never altered the recording and the recording was cut off because he received an incoming call.

Trump's team has suggested that the call was doctored.

Meanwhile, Trump has spent time reading through a stack of pages as Cohen continues testifying.

Unlike Stormy, I believe he really cared about/for Karen and when all was said and done, she was all but screwed in the end, along with Pecker.
  Take note Trumpers.

Joe and his team know how to win wars.   Look at his success with the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Before that as O'bummers 2nd hand man in 2011 they withdrew America’s much-scaled-down troop presence in Iraq; the former VP had declared Iraq to be “sovereign, stable, and self-reliant,” and predicted that Iraq “could be one of the great achievements of this administration.” Their decision sent Iraq spiraling into sectarian violence and civil war, allowing Iran to expand its influence and opening the way for the rise of the jihadist group ISIS.

So as you can see Joe knows.

Court takes a mid-morning break

The jury has been excused and Michael Cohen has stepped down from the stand after the first part of his testimony.

After detailing the hush money deal made to kill Karen McDougal's affair story, he is likely to be asked about what led to the payments to Stormy Daniels.

Trump, defenders show up in force ahead of Cohen testimony

Former President Donald Trump was joined by a bevy of high-profile supporters Monday morning outside the Manhattan courtroom, where the NY v. Trump trial will hear from key witness Michael Cohen.

As Trump spoke to the media early Monday morning, Republican supporters such as Ohio Sen. JD Vance, New York Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, his son Eric Trump, and others were seen standing behind the 45th president for what is anticipated to be an action-packed day in court.

Trump's comments ahead of court Monday focused on his argument the case is a "baseless, politically motivated prosecution" promoted by the Biden administration, while highlighting a recent poll showing him leading Biden in key battleground states.

"The New York Times just came out with a poll that shows us leading everywhere by a lot. This is the cover story. And I think you'll find it very interesting, but I'm sure you've all read it. Leading in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia and Nevada. Nevada, we are leading actually by 12 points, which is generally a Democrat state," Trump said.

Cohen secretly records his client [Trump]

As a lawyer....  no less.   Cohen is making Saul Goodman look like Thurgood Marshall.

Reggie; Listen up everybody, this fat fool is not what he appears to be!
He is a DA, a supposed 'civil servant', but he is mysteriously worth around 45 million dollars.
There is certainly something going on which is not what it appears to be.
