BWAHAHA... I'm flying to Texas Saturday morning for Spring Break!
This is the first winter I've experienced like this in my 42 years living in the Washington region. It's more like you'd get in a mild Buffalo, NY winter.
In Buffalo, they usually get at least one snowfall of 4 feet or more...otherwise, I can't recall snow cover on the ground this frequently.
Global warming my butt.
Good grief Vic--I was up in your neck of the woods last weekend. Our friends still had a foot of snow in their backyard! Everyone in PA that I ran across was so snow weary--you guys enjoy your week in Texas.
National Weather Service Alert for Montgomery County, Maryland:

Eat your heart out, Lips! I am in the Hill Country.
Beautiful part of Texas, for sure! Are you near any of the many Wineries/Vineyards up there?
Texas has "hills"? LOL!Indeed, it does. You should come here and scope it out.
Sure does--I had the privilege of living in them hills for 10 years, not too far from where Vic's cabin is. BEAUTIFUL country!goopo

We look out over a vineyard from our deck in fact. Very nice view. But it's back to Penn tomorrow. 8888crybaby

Hope that you had a pleasant visit, then!
The wife and I usually take a few days each Spring to take in the Bluebonnets and spend some time in and around Fredericksburg. Plenty of good stuff to do there and it's very relaxing.
Fredericksburg's a great trip, especially this time of year. I used to live 1/2 south of there.
If you're doing the bluebonnets, be sure to check out the Willow City Loop outside F'burg. One of the best bluebonnet shows I have ever laid eyes on!
We typically go up there (F'burg) around our anniversary in May. Thinking about doing something different this year. Route 66 run starting in Missouri or something along that line. Still working on that.
We'll be heading out towards Warrenton/Round Top for the Bluebonnets and the Warrenton Antiques Week thing. As g'son calls it: "junkin' " .
