The Too Much Free Timers have spotted another cultural target to attack.
The people we might call the Too Much Free Timers (TMFTs) are at it again. Having decided that the comedian Kevin Hart is unfit to host the Oscars, because of his old tweets about gay people, they have now moved on to the iconic Seinfeld. According to an article in Bustle, the classic sitcom is full of ‘problematic’ content.
They have pointed to the famous Soup Nazi scene, some stereotyping of gay people in the show, and the episode where Jerry buys an old-fashioned Indian cigar stand, which is offensive to Native Americans. The joke was actually about the excesses of political correctness. I would say, oh the irony – except TMFTs don’t do irony.
If anything, they’re not trying hard enough. Any obsessive Seinfeld fan knows there is far more to get upset about, if you wanted to, like the fat-shaming (Newman), the punching down on the working class (postmen, cable guys, telemarketing services), and the ageism (George’s screaming and neurotic parents).
How this show ever got aired at all is the real problematic problem. Though maybe, just maybe, it was because it was funny.
I wonder if these latter-day critics will move on to other landmark comedy series. The very woke and wonderful Tina Fey and her show 30 Rock surely deserve scrutiny. After all, she would sometimes point out the foibles of the left, with characters like the pompous black American senator who thinks she is channeling Martin Luther King, or the washed-up alcoholic feminist writer, played brilliantly by Carrie Fisher.

Ironically, the show's major character in the GIF was the first to see his career die because of Political Correctness.

This is what defines the modern American Left as a fascist religious cult rather than a political cause.
Normal people say, 'I don't like Seinfeld, therefore I don't watch Seinfeld.'
The Left says, 'I don't like Seinfeld, therefore nobody should watch Seinfeld. And all copies should be destroyed and burned.
Normal people say, 'I don't like Christianity, therefore I am not a Christian.'

That is exactly what the Left is becoming: a cult, and a dangerous one at that.
They will tell you that they are caring, compassionate, open-minded, bighearted and endlessly tolerant.
And if you disagree with them about anything they'll try to destroy you, because only evil people would disagree with wonderful humans like them.
We all know instinctively, or ought to know where this is going to end up. But it may just be too late to pull the brake lever on the crazy train.

Also, this is why they believe that laws, rules, ethics, humanity, honor, dignity, credibility, accuracy, etc., does not apply to them. In their minds they are on a 'Holy Mission. One that must not be constrained by anything. Anything they do is justified by their holiness. Anything they do is justified by their 'mission'. If that is not the definition of religious fanaticism, then nothing is.
Furthermore, if you dare contradict the cult in any small way, or if you decide to leave the cult, then you become a pariah deserving of hell-fire. They will do anything to destroy anyone who leaves. Because in their minds, the person has become corrupted and mentally defective. They need to be put-down.

You're correct, of course, but it is "a cult" that is embraced and supported by roughly one-half of the population of The United States.
What does that mean for our future?

Indeed. Peaceful solutions to conflicts are always desirable.
But this time around, that ain't happenin'.

There was a time long,long ago when reasonable people would take people like this for a walk to a nearby pond while they were still children,and couldn't swim with bricks in their pockets.
IMHO,we need to bring back the good old days.
