RFK Jr. challenging Trump to a debate whole Trump is trying to pressure Biden into having a debate is hilarious.  Love to hear Trump spin why Biden has to debate him while he won't debate RFK Jr.

Biden is the least popular president in 70 years — below even Nixon and Carter, scathing poll finds

It’s a low blow for Joe.

Joe Biden is the least popular commander in chief at this point of his presidency in the last 70 years, below even Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter, according to a blistering new poll — imperiling his chances of re-election.

Biden, 81, notched a dismal 38.7% job approval rating for the first quarter of 2024, the venerable Gallup Poll found in a survey released Friday, three points lower than that of the one-term George H.W. Bush at the same point in his presidency.

“With about six months remaining before Election Day, Biden stands in a weaker position than any prior incumbent,” the pollsters concluded.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump, who is vying with Biden for a second White House term, had a 46.8% approval rating at this point in his presidency.

Even Nixon and Carter had higher ratings than Biden, with 53.7% and 47.7%, respectively, and Eisenhower had the highest rating at 73.2%, according to the poll.

The results of Gallup’s presidential approval polls, which the organization has compiled since the presidency of Dwight D. Eisenhower began in 1952, have been strongly predictive of re-election success.

Betrayed Again! Johnson Gives U.S. Workers Stick's Short End
H.R. 2 Left Out of Funding Bill Once More

The time has come to face the music or, in this case, the mournful funeral dirge. House Speaker Mike Johnson’s reversal on his pledge to insist that the immigration enforcement bill HR-2 be included in broader foreign assistance legislation bills that would give billions to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan without a single thin dime for U.S. border security represents a betrayal to working class Americans. In December, Johnson promised his fellow Republicans that border security and other immigration enforcement provisions would be “the hill to die on.” Four months later, Ukraine is set to receive an additional $60.8 billion in aid on top of the existing U.S. $73 billion funding already provided, including military and economic assistance, since the country’s futile war with Russia began more than two years ago. Ukraine has burned up existing aid but still has failed to make any territorial advances, and is, in the view of most military experts, embroiled in a forever war it cannot win. Logic dictates that to endlessly fund Ukraine with taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars is unsustainable, but another round of financing down the road appears inevitable.

Lets' see the details first before going off half cocked..  Like Bongino says wait 5 days until all the info comes out.

Is the 44% only on accounts or transactions worth 10 million or more and will never affect 99.999 of Americans?

Billioniares do need to pay more. Bezos pays the equivalent of 1% of taxes each year or around there.

Biden Admin Spending Millions To Protect Foreign Borders As America’s Is In Crisis

The Biden administration has spent millions of taxpayer dollars securing the borders of foreign nations as millions of migrants have flooded across America’s southern border over the past few years, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of federal grant listings.

The State Department in recent months paid out millions of dollars for programs to enhance border security in Iraq, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Serbia, Georgia, Angola, Kenya, Algeria, Somalia, Armenia, Paraguay and Jordan, federal grant records show. As the Biden administration spent millions securing foreign borders, federal authorities reported massive numbers of migrants crossing into the United States, alongside enough fentanyl to kill more than 100 million people.

“It’s insane that this country has been sending money all over the world to secure everyone else’s border for years while leaving ours wide open,” Republican Texas Rep. Chip Roy told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “This is the kind of stuff that destroys countries and it’s a primary reason why the American people rightly hate what goes on in Washington,” he continued.

The State Department in September 2023 doled out $4.9 million intended to improve the “border security capabilities” of Kenya and Somalia by providing border officials in the African countries with training, equipment and mentorship, grant records show. The department also paid out nearly $1 million to train border guards in Iraq and Jordan, according to a grant disclosure. (RELATED: House Bursts Into Pro-Ukraine Chant During Foreign Aid Vote)

NJ’s ban on immigrant detention centers challenged in fiery lawsuit as $100M contract hangs in balance
By Social Links forSteve Janoski

A Florida company that wants to open a new immigrant detention center in Newark is suing to overturn New Jersey’s ban on the facilities — claiming the policy violates the Constitution.

The GEO Group said in its lawsuit that the state ban is torpedoing its plans for Delaney Hall, a privately-run, 1,196-bed facility that has variously held county, state and federal detainees over the last 25 years.

That could cost GEO a lot of money — namely, a contract with US Immigration and Customs and Enforcement worth more than $100 million, the lawsuit said.

Your BIL is saying what he needs to say to keep his job and keep those defense dept dollars flowing.  But what he says about EVs being superior to diesel is complete bullshit.  How far can an M1 go on batteries?  And how do you charge it 30 miles into enemy territory with no power lines in sight?  A fuel truck can make it there in an hour.  Repairing power lines and bringing in a charging platform would take weeks.  Not only that, every electric vehicle in an entire battle zone can be taken out with one EMP device.

If your BIL is really saying this, then he should be ashamed of himself for wasting US taxpayer dollars on such a poorly thought out policy.  Why not start out with the Air Force first to see how viable electric planes and helicopters work out.

I never said tanks or at least should have been more specific. I am talking about support vehicles and such and very light armor vehicles such as humvees.

1. EV's give off no or minimal sound, no or very little heat signature like a diesel.
2. In Gulf War 1 each soldier had the equivalant of 45 lbs of electronic gear. Currently each soldier has the equivalent of 2000 lbs of electronic gear.  EV's can supply this electric need w/o having to bring up generators and such
3. Battery range is going up every year.  Toyota said in a presss release their 2026 ev's will have a 600 mile range.
4. As I mentioned before the military is working on batteries that can be changed out in the field due to damage or recharging with no tools in two minutes in less.
5. Every single military contractors from every country at the Qatar show had military ev;s including China in their lineup.
6. You said every ev military vehicle can be taken out with an emp. How do you know this?  You are speaking out of your arse.

You know jack crap what they are working on, what their capabilities are  but yet you are an armchair general. What I posted above is the minimal info my bil would give me. You are another person who hates ev's because conservatives have been told to hate ev's.

Biden shares what he says were Beau’s ‘last words’ while telling Howard Stern a lot of whoppers
April 28, 2024 | Melissa Fine

In a move presumably made to reach voters and prove he can hold his end of a live conversation, President Biden sat down in the remarkably safe space of “drooling” shock-jock Howard Stern and lied his butt off — repeatedly.

Reporter Greg Price kept track of the whoppers on X.

“On Howard Stern’s show today, Biden claimed… He saved 6 people from drowning as a lifeguard (Lie); He received ‘salacious pictures’ from women in the 70s that he handed to Secret Service (Definitely a lie and senators don’t have secret service protection); That he was arrested as a kid while standing with a black family on their porch as people were protesting desegregation. (Lie); That he was ‘runner-up in state scoring’ in football. (Lie),” Price wrote.

excerpt:

Quote
On Stern, Biden’s deceased son Beau was once again invoked for emotional effect as the president shared what he claimed was his son’s last words.

“He said, ‘Look at me, dad. Promise me, dad. Promise me, dad that you’ll not leave public life. I know when I go, you’ll want to quit. You’ll want to quit,'” the president said after a dramatic pause. “And he looked at me and said, ‘Give me your word as a Biden. Give me your word.'”

“I gave him my word on the health of my family. And he said, ‘Promise me dad, you won’t step back.’ And I made the promise,” Biden continued. “Before he passed away — I shouldn’t — Last thing he said before he passed away — I mean we were in the hospital, Hunt and I with him, lying in the hospital bed. He looked and he said, ‘I’m not scared, dad, It’s Ok. I’m not scared, it’s Ok.'”
