Customs officers seize $5.8 million in drugs, arrest 14 fugitives over the weekend

Customs and Border Protection officers at ports of entry in San Diego and Imperial counties seized more than $5.8 million in drugs and arrested 14 fugitives over the weekend, authorities said.

Friday through Sunday, customs officers confiscated 583 pounds of marijuana, 329 pounds of methamphetamine, 150 pounds of cocaine, 13 pounds of heroin and nearly 10 pounds of fentanyl, officials said.
