For all your Paleo Diet friends.
Proponents of the Paleo philosophy, a popular diet based on foods believed to have been eaten by cavemen, are overlooking a gruesome staple of their meals: other people.....

Imagine the way they'd package and advertise that!

Have you seen the Trump sandwich?
Two pieces of white bread.
Full of bologna.
Topped with Russian dressing.
And a tiny pickle.

What better model for diet than a class of humans whose typical lifespan was 30 years?

I'm betting that on average they were doing well to make it to breeding age.

Well, they eat what food eats... :nometalk:

It hasn't been that long since childhood mortality rates dropped off. Antibiotics and vaccines are largely responsible, and emergency medicine has come a long way in the last 50 years.

Soilent Green is slow vegetarians.
"vegetarian" Old American Indian word for 'bad hunter'.

It will get you the runs.

It will get you the runs.
That, too, will pass.

@sinkspur @AbaraXas
Wasn't too long ago a kid 12 and under had about as much meat on them as a free range chicken. If the paleos back then had kids of today to snack on they probably would have lived longer. What is a paleo anyways? A really light colored cookie?

"vegetarian" Old American Indian word for 'bad hunter'.
Nature has a term for vegetarians.

They say that as if that was a bad thing.

Hippy Liberals have some strange ideas about a lot of things. Indians are also known for cannibalism. But you will never hear that from a hippy.
Native Americans are portrayed as being sort of proto-Hippies who were pot-smoking, leather wearing, sandal shod dudes, who rarely bathed and lived as one with nature.
History as born out by archeology portrays them as warrior tribes who were in a state of constant war with each other over women, resources, and slaves. And through need or ceremony they would occasionally eat each other.
Also, there is evidence that when they could, the Native Americans would drive herds of buffalo, deer, or elk, off a cliff, take whatever they could from the carnage below, and leave the rest. So, even that "the natives only took what the needed" meme is more myth than reality.
The reason they 'only took what they needed' is because they did not have automatic weapons or a means of transporting the kills afterward, if they killed too much. It had nothing to do with any idea of conservation, or being one with nature.
But, if you say any of this to a Liberal, they will call you a 'racist' and then storm off. This thought would be an invasion of their "safe space".

Yep, to all of that.
