Will Mamdani follow a court order he disagrees with?  From all his bluster so far, I would say no.  Will the judge then threaten to hold him in contempt like judges have with Trump?  My guess would be no. **nononono*

‘Good Luck’: Border Czar Tom Homan Dismisses Socialist NYC Mayoral Hopeful Mamdani's Pledge To Block Deportations
‘We’re going to get the bad guys, so if they don’t want to help, get out the way,’ Tom Homan tells Washington Free Beacon

Border czar Tom Homan offered a four-word response to New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani’s vow to undermine ICE's operations: "Good luck on that."

"We’re going to be in New York City, and President Trump said it two weeks ago. We’re going to double down, triple down on sanctuary cities. Why? Not because they’re a blue city or a blue state, but because we know that’s where the problem is," Homan said.

Homan’s comments came in response to a Washington Free Beacon question asking if he had a plan to handle Mamdani, New York City’s Democratic nominee for mayor, and his June 25 promise to use his power to "stop masked ICE agents from deporting our neighbors."

"Zohran Mamdani, the likely next mayor of New York City, has promised not to cooperate with you or ICE or with deportations of any kind. Do you have a plan to work around that? How are you going to handle that?" the Free Beacon's Jon Levine asked on Monday.

Extreme weather expert Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. on The Texas Flash Floods: ‘A tragedy that should never happen again’ – ‘Occurred in a location that has among the greatest risks in the nation of flash flooding’

By Roger Pielke Jr.:  Hoyt and Langbein 1940 identified south central Texas as being among the regions of the United States with the greatest risk of flooding.
The flooding was certainly extreme but it should not have been historically unexpected. The documented record of extreme flooding in “flash flood alley” goes back several centuries, with paleoclimatology records extending that record thousands of years into the past.
Consider the figure above, from a classic 1940 historical text on U.S. floods, which shows that the same region of Texas that experienced this week’s floods has long been known to be a bullseye for flash flooding. In fact, almost a century before Hoyt and Langbein, Texas experienced one of the greatest losses of life in U.S. history related to extreme weather. ...
The data show considerable variation across the U.S. but also no indication of an increase in this metric for “flash flood alley” over this 42-year analysis. ...  The IPCC AR6 WG1 concluded the following on U.S. river floods:
There is limited evidence and low agreement on observed climate change influences for river floods in North America (Section 11.5). Trends in streamflow indices are mixed and difficult to separate from river engineering influences, with large changes but little spatial coherence across the USA, making it difficult to identify trends with confidence . . .

The problem with Syria is that it if full of Syrians.  Why bother importing more problem aliens.

Media, Politicians Blame Climate Change For Texas Floods, Ignore Conflicting Data
A climatologist’s call for truth and action—not political exploitation—in the wake of the Texas flood tragedy.
by Dr. Matthew Wielicki  July 07, 2025,

The heartbreaking flooding in central Texas, including the devastating loss of young lives at a girls’ camp near Austin, is a tragedy that demands reflection, accountability, and action, not political grandstanding. [emphasis, links added]

This catastrophe, while deeply painful, must be examined through a lens of historical and scientific clarity, not hijacked to push climate change or budgetary blame games.

The Flooding Crisis: What Happened?
The severe flooding that struck central Texas, including areas near Austin, has brought renewed attention to the vulnerabilities of flood-prone valleys.

Heavy rains rapidly overwhelmed local waterways, causing flash flooding that destroyed homes, infrastructure, and tragically claimed lives.

Meteorologist Debunks ABC News’ ‘Absurd’ Claim Linking Climate Change To Sleep Apnea
Data does not show global heat waves or nighttime temperatures rising enough to disrupt human sleep.
by Anthony Watts  July 07, 2025,

In a recent article titled “Climate change making it harder for us to sleep, study says,” ABC News claimed that climate change is now not just responsible for hurricanes, wildfires, and flooding—it’s also robbing us of our sleep. [emphasis, links added]

This evidence for this is at best scientifically flimsy and at worst flatly false.

Data does not show that heat waves or nighttime temperatures are increasing globally in a way that would significantly disrupt human sleep patterns.

“If temperature keeps rising the way they project it to, the burden and prevalence of sleep apnea may double, increasing by 20-100%, depending on greenhouse gas emission reduction,” Bastien Lechat, the lead author of the study that ABC News based its story on, told the news service.

Interesting that these decisions are made by people from tropical nations where you can survive with little, and not by those from more polar climates where energy is life.

I'm not abiding by anything these coconut throwers are recommending.

Agriculture: It’s Worse Than We Thought, Again
We’re all going to have to give up breakfast, or something

by Jit

A week ago, the compliant media was happily swallowing, and regurgitating, yet another “worse than we thought” study, this time on the topic of how future climate change was going to starve humanity.

“Worse than we thought” is, when you pop your ten-gallon sceptic’s hat on, a synonym for “exactly what we thought.” By which I mean, the news has to be terrible, and worse than the previous news, for it to get traction in today’s world of transient thought bubbles.

The study, “Impacts of climate change on global agriculture accounting for adaptation,” was published in the once-great magazine Nature, and is authored by Andrew Hultgren and a motley crew of divers others, too many to count at a blink (i.e. more than nine). One of the authors, Soloman Hsiang, was quoted in one story as saying the losses due to climate change were going to be equivalent to us all giving up breakfast, or words to that effect – though I can’t find that page any more, it is now buried in the others that I visited to read up on how the study was being reported.

The Texas Flooding Tragedy: Could It Have Been Avoided?
On Friday morning, heavy rains led to catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River in central Texas.

Tragically, it appears that at least fifty people lost their lives.

But what is particularly disturbing is that the National Weather Service (NWS) provided excellent warnings and forecasts before the event that clearly predicted a substantial threat.

And yet, no attempt at evacuation was made.

Furthermore, weather model forecasts indicated the potential for a major precipitation event over this historically flood-prone region during the prior days.

The Event
The flooding occurred around 4 AM on July 4.

A heavy precipitation event was forecast for the region during the previous days.  For example, the NOAA/NWS HRRR forecast from 8 PM July 3 (the evening before) predicted a band of heavy rain over central Texas.
