Title: 2019 Today's Toons Favorites (Results)
Post by: pookie18 on January 19, 2020, 08:16:36 pm: After starting with >13,000 possibilities, the 11th annual Best Of Today's Toons is over & all the votes have been tallied. Neither hanging nor pregnant chads were encountered & Diebold equipment was not used. First, a few stats. 12 of the 34 finalists received 1st-place votes. There were 18 valid entries received & thanks to all of you who took the time to vote!! Wanted to publicly thank Chuck Aston for creating the virtual trophies (like THIS (https://i.imgur.com/PMELhjm.jpg)) which will be sent to the top 10 finishers (if I know their identity).

Votes were cast, in order of preference, for between 1 & 10 of the finalists. Cartoonist Pat Cross(2) had multiple items in the finals. The method of scoring was as follows: A 1st-place vote received 10 pts., a 2nd-place vote earned 9 pts., ..., down to a 10th-place vote which got 1 pt. And now, the results:

I didn't, but my ruggedized flip phone finally gave in to abuse at the same time I was supposed to buy a smartphone for work. Only one of the six pickup trucks I have owned cost more than the new phone, so I have to behave, now.
