The good news first: no one has yet been stabbed, shot or guillotined. Although the idea has been raised:

A Minnesota DFL staffer has been suspended from his job after suggesting in a social media post that Republicans face beheading after the Nov. 6 election.

In response to a Facebook post that listed Nov. 6 as the day to “take back your country,” DFL deputy communications director William Davis wrote “11.7-bring them to the guillotines.”

The suspension is for one week.

In an earlier statement, DFL executive director Corey Day said the comment was an inside joke among former co-workers.

Ha ha. Those Democrats are hilarious.

This is the same kind of stupid false/fake sensationalistic misleading headlines that the Leftists in the MSM spew for news.

To report that an imbecile made stupid threatening rhetorical comments about a violent act via politics does not equate 'POLITICAL VIOLENCE COMING TO MINNESOTA'.

Torching GOP headquarters and street melees like we are seeing in NYC and Portland are examples of 'political violence'.  Suggesting in a stupid comment on Facebook about guillotining Republicans is NOT political violence coming to the streets of Minnesota.  It's stupid Leftist fantasy threats and rhetoric of violence, but not actual political violence.

This clickbait tactic now being used by the so-called 'right' and the MSM Left to demagogue and create narratives is bullshit.

This kind of shit is why I am reading comments on right-wing sites that are essentially suggesting that Conservatives need to seriously consider 'Killing them before they can think about killing you'.

Once that balloon goes up, kiss it all goodbye.

Well, you have to read the article to know what's there.

Well, you have to read the article to know what's there.

What's there?

What's there is the kind of mild Union-thug crap we had to deal with every single election in Cook County, IL.  That's not 'political violence', that's Democrat S.O.P. in a blue city in a blue state.

Now trashing GOP headquarters and engaging in a street melee with batons, rocks and knives to pummel political opponents is "political violence".

BTW, how come none of the 'patrons' at the unidentified 'bar' have come forward with corroboration of Mekeland's account of being 'blindsided' while speaking to those patrons?  Surely such an assault would have been witnessed by everyone there, and 'political violence' would then be a bit more appropriate if patrons corroborated the suggestion that the 'attack' was politically-motivated, dontcha think?

Sorry, I see the 'right' engaged in the same stupid kind of sensationalistic 'fake news' that the Left engages in creating with misleading headlines.

How could you miss the two incidents of physical violence cited?

Because his purpose here is not to read the article but to sow discord as a forum anarchist.

As good a possibility as any, I guess.

Political violence isn't "just coming" to MN.  BLM has swarmed, and shut down the Mall of America at least once.  Garden variety violence has spread over Minneapolis/St. Paul ever since they became a haven for Somalis.

Which of course the supposition pisses you off royally considering you demand everyone march in lockstep in devotion and support of your prince.

I'll wear your moniker with pride.

But... is it really applicable to you?  I think not.

A forum anarchist?  What the hell is that, exactly?   If he means somebody that mocks and dismisses any opinions that do not match his own in lock-step, he is merely describing himself.  If he means somebody that goes around insulting folks he doesn't agree with (against the rules, mind you), again... he is projecting.  Hilarious lack of self-awareness on his part... PER USUAL.

Contrary to what bullies and thug cretins hope to accomplish with such labels and slander, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.  In fact I absolutely delight in receiving all the attempted insults and name calling.  It energizes me and it illustrates the pathetic nature of such weak people.

Yeah.... well... while you're being "energized" (lolol).... I'm being amused by his ongoing hypocrisy.   wink777

The argument could be made, perhaps, that Sarah Anderson brought the violence upon herself by confronting the guy kicking the campaign signs.  She put herself in harms way when she could have just videoed him damaging the signs and called the police and let them handle it.  Instead she followed him to another location and got in his face, apparently.  Not very bright, IMO.

The assault on Mekeland, however, was an actual violent physical assault that he never saw coming and I posit that somewhere there is probably a "hit list" of Republicans, GOP candidates and political icons on the right that somebody is 'encouraging' to attack in public (like Maxine Waters advocated).  Could even be orchestrated and organized on the dark web.   Never underestimate your opponents, the radical leftist Democrats.
