Ted Cruz Votes in Favor of 2018 National Defense Authorization Act
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz voted yesterday in favor of final passage of the FY2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which provides numerous military necessities, including over $512 million in military construction funds to the state of Texas for 2018.
Senator Cruz sponsored 13 amendments and cosponsored nine that were successfully adopted into the bill, benefitting both Texas and military interests abroad and in space.....
"“Today the United States Senate fulfilled our first responsibility: ensuring the defense of this nation with legislation that marks a critical step in rebuilding our nation’s military, further protecting our national security interests at home and abroad, and fulfilling our promise to better equip and expand training for our men and women in uniform,” Sen. Cruz said.".....

I had to go check the moon phase to rule that out as to why you women are so dam sensitive tonight, I meant no harm. I assured her, though, I will back off, since she longer understands my sense of humor.
As this too shall pass, tomorrow is another day entirely.

The worst part (besides what it cost) was spending 3 hours of my day off in the cellphone store trying to replace it. Oh well, I hope whoever took it needed it worse than I did. Others have had a far worse day I'm sure. Hope you have a good night!

My second apology would be to all Briefers because this being a Cruz Thread and all we never got the chance to debate his citizenship, his girlfriends and his fathers complicity in the JFK assassination. Hopefully. another opportunity will present itself soon.

Do you? I always thought a 'he' although the most passionate Trump lovers on TOS were the women. It was dang pathetic.

I am not grumpy. I think the bored baby sloth is adorable.
It is surprising that Right in Virginia has anything good to say about Cruz or even Republicans. I guess we can all agree that funding our military is important.

You said others were being sarcastic but that may not really be the situation, I'm almost surprised to see one actually agreeing with Cruz.
As an example, the current healthcare repeal bills, Cruz has voted for these 2 or 3 different times.

Tom, Tom, Tom. Let's see ... the choice was between Bammy or Romney or Independent in 2012. Hint ... Cruz sure as heck wasn't going to endorse Bammy.
BTW Romney also endorsed Cruz. Personally, I like Romney. There are some issues that I disagree with him on but for the most part I like him above most of the GOPe.

OK ... since this thread is now officially derailed and crap anyways ... I have an excellent pecan pie recipe; one that I adapted after visiting a plantation in Arkansas:
Pecan Pie
3 large eggs
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3 tbsp. maple syrup
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbs. butter melted
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
8" pie crust
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients till well mixed and fluffy. Place pecan halves in pie shell and spread evenly. Pour mixture over pecans in pie shell and bake at 350 for 45-50 min or until knife inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Cool on rack for 30 min. before serving.

Sen. Cruz and President Trump are more similar than different on Defense spending, It's not lost on me that Ted got some funding for Texas manufacturing of the F35, not sure I agree with this so I'll withhold judgment.

I won't fault him for getting something for Texas. At least it's actually for defense spending.
