Title: If you could change 1 thing, what would it be?

Pls. tell us what 1 single thing you would change and why.

Here are a few ideas, but the question isn't restricted to this list:

Term limits
Changes to the way taxes are levied and government services paid for
Balanced budget amendment
Get rid of or add a specific program or department
Do away with the Electoral College
Reduce or increase spending on military/SS/social programs

Scrap the Federal Income tax code and replace it with a flat tax, along with a requirement for a balanced Federal budget.

Why not just get rid of every constitutional amendment past the 14th? That would do nicely.

Look - I remember the 50s. Well, sort of. Americans were considered damned arrogant, but with good reason for being so. They had an immense pride in both their country and their ability to get by and get ahead.

After that, maybe the rest of the list would follow.

That would be item number 2 on my list and it was hard for me to decide which should be #1 or 2!

Leave in the one that limits thePrez to two terms. Otherwise we could be looking at an Il Douche in perpetuity. And expand it to include Congress.
