Chinese nationals captured after crossing into Texas illegally, paid smugglers $35K each
Border authorities encountered the three Chinese nationals and female migrant from Colombia on Tuesday.
Three Chinese nationals who each paid smugglers $35,000 were apprehended Tuesday after illegally crossing the southern border.
Fox News’ Bill Melugin was with Texas Department of Public Safety troopers when they witnessed the three Chinese nationals and a woman from Colombia cross illegally into Mission, Texas. The town lies near the southern tip of Texas, along the Rio Grande, and is a hotbed for illegal smuggling activity.
Texas DPS Trooper Lt. Chris Olivarez told Fox News the four individuals were brought across on a raft from Mexico.
Video shot by Fox News shows Border Patrol agents questioning the illegal migrants, who are visibly shivering in the cold. The migrants were later taken into custody and processed.

South Texas sees surge of Chinese migrants crossing border illegally, chief says

McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — A surge in Chinese nationals crossing the border illegally from Mexico into South Texas is putting a strain on Border Patrol resources, the Rio Grande Valley Sector chief says.
Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez tweeted that the RGV Sector is leading the nation in Chinese migrant encounters. So far in Fiscal Year 2023, agents have encountered Chinese nationals over 1,667 times.
This includes 90 Chinese nationals who were apprehended Thursday, which Chavez tweeted Friday in an update is the “most encountered since 2010 in a single day.”
Chavez says there has been a 920% increase in Chinese nationals encountered, compared to Fiscal Year 2022, the vast majority of whom are single adults.

The Biden Regime is now releasing hordes of Chinese illegal aliens into the United States with NTAs (notice to appear).
Fox News captured the Chinese illegals being released to an NGO in Brownsville, Texas on Tuesday.
The illegals were given NTAs because there are so many crossing into the US and no more space to house them, according to Fox News.
Border Patrol says the number of Chinese nationals illegally crossing the border has recently spiked.
Border Patrol has encountered over 4,300 Chinese illegals in 2023 – up from 2,176 in 2022 and 450 in 2021.

(CNSNews.com) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection says it has encountered 4,366 Chinese nationals illegally crossing the Southwest border so far in Fiscal Year 2023, which began on October 1, 2022.
And while those 4,366 Chinese nationals account for just 0.42 percent of the 1,029,953 illegal border crossings so far in Fiscal Year 2023, they are of particular concern, given escalating U.S. tensions with China's Communist government and concerns about Chinese spying.
In January 2021, the month Joe Biden took office, the number of CBP encounters with Chinese citizens at the Southwest border was only 13.
