Main Columbia protester is professional agitator, has criminal record
Story by JERUSALEM POST STAFF • 12h •

One of the most violent leaders of the Columbia University protests is a professional agitator, according to a New York Post report.

It may seem that the majority of protesters are grassroots activists and students. However, according to this report, citing a high-ranking police source, one of their key players – James Carlson – is  “a longtime anarchist."

The Columbia University riots have been at the forefront of international media for the last few weeks.

Longtime anarchist
James Carlson, also known as Cody Carlson, 40, is the son of millionaire advertisers Richard and Sandy Tarlow and owns a $3.4 million townhouse in Brooklyn, the article said.

He has a criminal history dating back to 2005, according to the New York Post.
The New York Post claims he is a “rabble rouser and an attorney by trade” and is being investigated as a possible mastermind of the anti-Israel protests.

West Virginia files brief in support of 5 female middle school athletes banned from competition after protesting a transgender athlete
Story by John Lynch
Nexstar Broadcasting

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey on Friday filed an amicus brief, supporting the middle school students who protested a recent appeals court ruling against West Virginia’s Save Women’s Sports Act.

Five students who forfeited a shot-put competition on April 18 in protest of the ruling have now been barred from competing in that event at their next track and field meet. Four of the five students, through their parents, filed suit.

“The only thing this decision does is teach these children to keep their mouths shut and not disagree with what they saw as unfairness,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “That is outrageous and it tramples these students’ rights to freedom of speech and expression.”

On April 18, the students attended the 2024 Harrison County Middle School Championships track and field meet where they were scheduled to compete in shot-put. The plaintiff, a transgender athlete, in the federal lawsuit was also present for the April 18 competition following the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit decision allowing that student to do so.

Get Real, Bloomberg, Climate Change Is No Child Labor ‘Threat Multiplier,’ Climate Policies Are

A recent Bloomberg article describes a new tool that scores companies based on how much they rely on child labor, which the news outlet claims is exacerbated by climate change. This is false. While weather disasters can force people into desperate circumstances, extreme weather is not getting worse. Further, it is much more likely that the increasingly forced energy transition to renewable energy technologies in the name of stopping climate change is a much more direct child labor threat multiplier.

In the article, titled “Climate Change Poses a Child Labor ‘Threat Multiplier’,” Bloomberg describes the new tool is an AI-driven index that it refers to as “a newly developed quantitative approach may help raise its prominence as an environmental, social, and governance issue.” This corporate speak means that it is supposed be used to pressure companies that rely on high amounts of child labor anywhere in their supply chain.

The article goes off the rails when Bloomberg cites an International Labour Organization study that claimed climate change is a “threat multiplier” for child labor, because poverty forces people to rely on their children to help work and earn money for the family.

Took a law suit to do it.

People are going to need some way to cook food and boil water if the lights go out while charging all those EVs...

A sane judge.

The young ladies signed up to compete against other young ladies, not laddies. No amount of pandering to psychological problems will change the fact that the competition would be unfair. These young ladies did not sign up to compete in a co-ed environment.

Where in the Hell are the feminists?
Have they been completely hijacked by the 'alphabet crowd'?
Has the cause of "Womens' Rights" become 'GLBTQetc rights' instead?

Who knew DEI meant 'shake and bake'?

They can't.  It was highly unlawful to refuse to pass down orders from the CiC, and that's exactly what they did.  I didn't trust the Military in that regards since 1/20/17.  There was plenty of scuttlebutt going around back then when it was implied by many at the Pentagon, that Trump's commands were not absolute.  That they would intervene to be a check on Trump, who they were insisting at the time that stupid Trump would walk us straight into WWIII.

They broke the chain of command to "save the world from Trump!"

This is the level of insubordination we're dealing with here.

Whereas the people they sided with were plotting and perhaps actually produced illegitimate results to the election of 2020...

and

Whereas having a violent, invasive protest was essential to acceptance of those potentially illegitimate results with a minimum of dissent and with the Congress in a state of fatigue which might well render their judgement less than fully alert...

and Whereas such violent behaviour on the part of protesters might have been incited, furthered, or otherwise enhanced by the presence of agents provocateur within the protest crowd operating under a false flag, and the presence of National Guard performing security would interfere with the desired outcomes above...

Those apparently desiring those results and enabling them to achieve their desired outcomes, especially those in the direct Military Chain of Command, who acted to subvert the desire of the then President of the United States to maintain order, in fact have acted against the interests of a smooth transition of power if legitimate, the addressing of any objections to that transition as is mandated by the Rules of Congress, and acted against the best interests of these United States: to wit, as enemies of the Republic.

If it can be shown that they did so with malice and aforethought, and in collusion, this would represent a criminal conspiracy under the US code and the UCMJ as those bodies of law applied to the respective participants, and quite possibly, treason.

At the very least, the refusal to execute the orders of the Commander in Chief is a serious violation of the UCMJ, and should be tried by Military Tribunal, and in the event of a guilty verdict, punished appropriately.

My Lord, what rock do you folks crawl out from under?

SO you would have no problem with an unlicensed/untrained ultrasound person doing an ultrasound on your wife's possible breast cancer diagnosis or a lump in your child  stomach or a lump on your right testicle?

People every day are thrown in jail for performing medical treatments without  a license and they should be.

Those two yahoo farmers were told to stop and they didn't is why their arses were thrown in jail.
I suppose they could just reach in there arm deep and feel around instead of bouncing a few sound waves around and finding out. How do you feel about ranchers pulling calves? sewing up cuts? removing horns? branding? turning little bulls into steers?
Quit assuming farmers are ignorant hicks.

And instead of implying their or our wives are 'cows', recognize that no one is proposing human doctors be replaced with the local rancher, but from what I saw during COVID, my bets are on the guy who gives a shit if the patient actually survives more than their insurance policy.

As for the cows, and their progeny, that's money to ranchers/farmers, but only if they live healthy lives, gain weight, and get to market. Believe me when I say they are not going to endanger the means of production, nor the product.
