The Briefingroom Polls / Re: Will Trump win NY?

Trump won't win NY.  That rally may have seemed impressive, but it was only 30k people or so, and NYC has millions of eligible voters, most of them democrat (or further left).

That may be but 30,000 for an outdoor rally is still impressive in an impoverished neighborhood. The demographics of the Bronx is appx. 56% Hispanic and 28% African-American.

Regardless, that rally was reported on by major networks which they've failed to focus on in the past so Trump made people stand up and take notice.

The message couldn't have been more clear at his really (it is worth watching) -- Trump is for the Hispanic and the Black people.  Biden can't make that claim; in fact he demonstrates otherwise and has made racist comments about them.

The GOP truly sucks, but so does most of Congress.

IF the Bronx rally is any indication, I think Trump could win NY -- that is provided that NY's election is w/o fraud which is unlikely.

Mentally ill, probably.

She's a liberal democrat, so no "probably" about it - she's mentally ill.

Trump, a lifelong resident of NY.
Can he honestly expect to pull Queens and Brooklyn out of the hat in conjunction with the rest of the Red State of NY and carry the 28 EV's?

Illegal immigration, abortion and the economy are top issues, but I think people need to realize so is antisemitism.  Also, Joe's racist comments against Black, Hispanics and Jews aren't going to be just dusted away this time around.

Yes, I believe the fix is already in, but I do believe that there is a possibility that Trump may win by such a landslide that it will be undeniable.  That is why I don't think the DEMS are going to run Biden.  Either that are we'll see such an October surprise that the elections won't take place.

God help us and stop the evil that has a stranglehold on this country from prevailing.

It’s too successful for the day time demand and since they need to keep conventional generation running because of start up lags utilities have to dump excess ‘green’ power and also shut down wind turbines. Next the eco Nazis will demand hundreds of acres of battery farms to store the excess.

Yup.

Silicon Valley investors embrace Trump after years of leaning left: ‘Impossible to support Biden’
By Social Links for Ariel Zilber
Published May 24, 2024, 9:55 a.m. ET

Some Silicon Valley venture capitalists have begun to turn against President Biden while openly touting their support for former President Donald Trump — a sea change for an industry that has overwhelmingly supported Democrats in years past.

Prominent moguls such as David Sacks, Chamath Palihapitiya, Marc Andreessen and Shaun Maguire have grown disillusioned with signature Biden policy proposals such as his call for a 25% “billionaire tax” as well as antitrust crackdowns waged by the Federal Trade Commission.

“It’s impossible to support Biden,” Keith Rabois, an early executive at PayPal who also played a role in the growth of LinkedIn, Square and Slide, told the New York Times.

While Rabois said he was not a fan of Trump, he would be “focused on electing a GOP Congress and Senate.”

Tech executives are also unhappy with the stringent regulations imposed on the cryptocurrency sector by Gary Gensler, Biden’s pick to head the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Lina Khan, Biden’s chair of the FTC, has sought to move aggressively against large tech companies that critics say have amassed too much power in the marketplace.

Khan unsuccessfully challenged Microsoft’s $70 billion acquisition of video game maker Activision Blizzard as well as Meta’s attempt to buy virtual reality startup Within.
