President Joe Biden on Wednesday mistakenly gave a shoutout to a Republican congresswoman who died in August.
“Jackie are you here? Where’s Jackie?” Biden asked after thanking several bipartisan members of congress.
“I didn’t think she was going to be here,” he added.
Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) died in a tragic car accident in August.
Biden spoke about Walorski during a White House event on a national effort to stop hunger.
The president did not appear to remember he mourned her death in a statement released by the White House on August 3.
At the time Biden praised Walorski’s efforts on the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, pointing out “her deep care for the needs of rural America.”
It’s unclear whether Biden was reading off of his teleprompter at the moment he gave a shoutout to “Jackie” but he did not correct his mistake.

Conference organizers even played a tribute video at the event honoring Walorski’s legacy of advocating for food and nutrition, according to a reporter who was present at the conference.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked multiple times about the gaffe during a briefing later in the day, where she repeatedly reiterated the notion that congresswoman was “top of mind” for Biden because of her commitment to the issue.
“The president was naming the congressional champions on this issue and was acknowledging her incredible work,” Jean-Pierre said, adding multiple times that Walorski was “top of mind” for Biden. She did not answer questions about whether Biden’s comments were part of his prepared remarks or whether he would apologize to her family.
Biden will welcome Walorski’s family to the White House on Friday to sign a bill renaming a Veterans Affairs clinic after the late congresswoman and honor her legacy, Jean-Pierre said.
“I don’t think it’s all that unusual to have someone top of mind, especially as there’s a big event — two big events, today and also Friday — that’s going to occur,” she added.
When one reporter asked Jean-Pierre why Biden would think Walorski was alive and in the room even if she were “top of mind,” the press secretary disputed the premise.
“I don’t find that confusing,” she said, arguing the context of Walorski’s connection to the event was important. “I think many people can speak to sometimes when you have someone top of mind, they’re top of mind.”

Since January 20, 2021 there have been 15 books written about the president. Unfortunately, they were all about Donald Trump. But what of Joe Biden? Surely, with the great job that Biden’s been doing as president, and with all the talented democrat writers out there, someone must at least have something nice to say about president Biden. What, nothing?
Well, actually there is one. Joe Concha just published a book about Biden and I hear it’s very critical of his presidency. But, Concha’s not a party democrat, you say?

'The View' hosts slam criticism of Biden's 'where's Jackie' gaffe, say America is 'ageist'

"The View" hosts slammed criticism of President Biden's "where's Jackie" gaffe on Thursday and said that America was "ageist."
"I mean, she passed last month not, like, a hundred years ago," co-host Whoopi Goldberg said. Joy Behar added that former President Donald Trump forgot Fredrick Douglas was dead.
Sara Haines compared Biden's moment to a "brain fart" and "mommy brain."
Reacting to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre answering questions about the obvious gaffe, Haines declared: "That was very apparent, what this gaffe was, I think her explanation made it worse though because in that moment I probably would have just said, ‘okay guys, he had a moment, who in this room hasn't?’" The co-host added that Jean-Pierre kept repeating the same words.
Behar claimed Republicans have "weaponized" Biden's gaffes in the past and have said that he's "senile."
"I think what it really shows is this country is so ageist. This country has a problem with age," co-host Sunny Hostin said. "You go to other countries and our elders are revered and they're revered because of the knowledge that they have acquired and this is a man who has worked in government his entire life, this is a man who probably had a relationship with this woman."
Hostin argued that something like Biden's comments could happen to anyone and that people should "stop weaponizing his age."
"I hate that about this country," she added.

That's because the 'real' powers controlling him took his passport after his last middle east trip. Don't know what he said or did over there, but that was his opus in terms of travelling internationally. Now that he is stuck at home, we see him more often. What else does he have to do? Except to go to wherever they take him and to read whatever script he is given.
