Rush Limbaugh's Replacement Has Been Announced
By Bonchie | May 27, 2021 12:45 PM ET
Iconic conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh passed away earlier this year from cancer. Limbaugh paved the way for sites like RedState and countless other outlets, whether written, watched, or spoken, in the right-leaning media-sphere, ending his life with a legacy as a giant among men.
Since his death, the question of who was going to take over his show has been at the forefront. Now, that question has been answered.
In a surprise move, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis will be hosting a show together in the time slot.

For all his positive qualities, Bongino was not the host that could keep millions of listeners every week for years on end.

Cumulus will be taking a gamble. But then again, you're not going to top Limbaugh no matter what. That's why you have all the splintering: Cumulus is trying Bongino, iHeart is going with Sexton and Travis (which I think is a safer bet because both have experience in the format, though Travis is better known for sports), and Audacy is going local on most of its stations.

??? So far, they have a different "guide" on the EIB network which plays different clips from Rush that pertains to the topics being discussed. I haven't heard an actual replacement.

That format's going to last through mid-June. The replacements (noted in the original article) take over June 21.

Gottcha. I think the transition with Bongino is going to be short lived.
