He DID nail it. I lost a friend over that song, and my recalcitrance. But it grew on me.
I NEVER like covers. One that I actually do like better was Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You'... And I am sorry Dolly, but Whitney OWNED that song.

Johnny Cash doing Nine Inch Nails 'Hurt' - OMG. Took a whiney addicted bleeding goth song and made it deep and relevant - with his time coming, and old age victorious over the man, it becomes poignant.. heart-breaking... An entirely different tone from almost the very same words. Stunning. Johnny Cash OWNS that song.

And nobody EVER can cover Simon and Garfunkel. To say so is ridiculous! Absurd. Unheard of!

But there it is. OFFICIALLY from me: Disturbed OWNS that song.
