SneakyPete, I still have that on my iTunes.  Loved Little Feat.

Way back in the day, Bonnie Raitt and Little Feat would occasionally show up at Overton Square in Memphis and put on a free concert.  I tell you what, they were awesome!  Quite a scene.

Bonnie Raitt plays some of the sweetest slide guitar music the world has ever heard, but her cover of this John Prine song is my favorite by her.

BTW,I have always had a kinky spot in my hear for redheaded women, and with her hair, her looks, and that slide guitar,it's a wonder I didn't become a stalker.  I can almost bet you will be singing this to yourself for the next few hours and smiling.

Yes, one of my all time favorite songs.  Ask my kids - they know the words.

John Prine is another one of my favorites.

I literally hate to get started listening to John Prine and Steve Windwood because nothing else gets done the rest of the day. I just get lost. I came THIS close to posting  Paradise ("Mr.Peabody's Coal Train") and In Spite of Ourselves tonight, but I'd be up all night if I ever got started.

John Prine deserves  his own dedicated thread, and Steve Windood deserves one from each band he played with. Everything Traffic did was so freaking good it was scary. You can put on "Welcome to the Canteen" and listen to just that one album over and over for a whole day and not be tired of it. And I sometimes do just that.

Came close to posting "Welcome to the Canteen earlier, but had to resist. Chances are you will hear it tomorrow, though.

Ok, Pete, try this one, Kevin Welch singing a John Hiatt song.  Hiatt did finally record it, but I like Welch's version a little better.

This is what happens when you copy the box in the URL at the top (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PctiJNoAG9Y) instead of the code, and remove the "s" from the "HTTPS".

That guy is seriously good.

Pete, you didn't ask but I'm throwing this out here anyway.  I'd rather you run one long thread.  If I want to go back to look for something, it would be much easier to find it in one thread.  My two-cents worth.

What I am working on is setting up a music thread for every day of the week, and then trying to get the site owner to create a music topic in the General area. That way anyone interested can check in at any time and immediately find the music thread of the day.

I have tried one long threads in the past, and after a day or two nobody ever clicks on them because they think they have already seen everything there, and it takes to long to load them and too long to find any new posts. I think 7 threads, each dedicated to one day of the week is the way to go. Easy to find and load, and not so much old stuff to sift through.

Getting ready to create the Wednesday Music thread in a few minutes.
