Syria 'chemical attack': Shooting delays OPCW visit to site

Efforts by international experts to examine the scene of a suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria have been delayed again after a UN risk assessment team came under fire.

Shots were fired when a security team visited Douma on Tuesday to prepare for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons inspectors' visit.

Nobody was injured and the team returned to the capital, Damascus.

Personal Comment:

1) There is still dispute as to :

     A) Whether or not there really was a chemical weapons attack on Duoma
     B) And for those who say that there was a chemical attack, whether or not Assad was responsible for it ( some are saying that it was the rebels that the west support who perpetrated it ).

2) Should the USA even be involved in this given the sad results of our involvement in toppling Saddam and Khadaffy?

Right now, the OPCW workers are there to try and sort this out.

"Some others" can always mean, the Russians, the Regime, the Iranians, those like Alex Jones, etc. say that.  Even a few politicians like Rand Paul and that State Senator Black in Virgiina.

Maybe the OPCW can sort it out. Again, indications are it was dropped from the air, generally, not in the capabilities of the Rebels, Jihadists, etc.
