Just a few years ago, the dems were squacking about Conservative values being promoted from the church pulpit. Now this.

Organizers of a health insurance sign-up today in Longview hope a gospel soundtrack will save more than souls.

“This is not just a care issue, this is a cost issue,” said Vik Verma, regional field director for the pro-Obama group, Organizing for America.

The group will team up at 6:30 p.m. today with Special Health Resources for Texas and Marshall’s Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in a gospel concert and Affordable Care Act sign-up for people without health insurance.

Church member Joyce Pipkin said 10 gospel groups from across Northeast Texas are ready to fill the Longview Community Center, at Whaley and Second streets, with gospel sounds.....
