Capito and Murkowski Can Never Be Forgotten or Forgiven

As I mentioned yesterday, I am astounded that so many people want to blame the GOP’s failure to repeal ObamaCare on those who are least to blame: folks like Rand Paul and Mike Lee. As I said, the real villains are the people who voted for the ObamaCare (partial) repeal bill in 2015 — but oppose it today.
Well, Mitch McConnell will soon call for a vote on a reanimated version of that same bill. And now we’re starting to learn who the scoundrels really are.

The problem is that pointing fingers and saying "it's your fault!" doesn't change the law. The reality is that Capito, Murkowski, and Collins prefer ObamaCare to repeal. Given that, their position makes logical sense, because inaction is a win for them. It's like blaming Schumer -- we know we don't agree with him on substance, so what's the point?
What is frustrating about conservatives who won't accept partial repeal is that the result is a worse law remaining on the books. It's handing to Capito, Murkowski, Collins, and Schumer exactly what they want. And if Rand, Lee, and Moran won't vote for anything less than a full repeal either, that makes it impossible to get to 50 votes. That means the Democrats plus Capito, etc., end up with the status quo, until the Democrats get control of Congress and ram through something worse than ObamaCare, which Trump will no doubt sign.

Ditch the mandate.
Allow a wider range of coverage options.
Just for starters.
If whatever they are waving around on Capitol Hill doesn't do that, it's bogus.

Partial socialism is still socialism. No thanks.
