Analysis: Amid Stalled Talks, Russia Has Massively Increased Air Attacks On Ukraine

Yauhen Lehalau and Ray Furlong  |  July 05, 2025  |  00:07 CET

As several months of US-led diplomacy have failed to broker a cease-fire between Russia and Ukraine, the Kremlin has used the time to massively ramp up aerial attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.

Russia almost doubled its monthly totals of missiles and drones fired at Ukraine between December 2024 and May 2025, according to figures compiled by the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project, or ACLED.

The numbers increased every month going from 1,269 in December to 2,436 in May.

The US-based ACLED recorded 2,110 strikes between June 1 and June 27, but this does not include air strikes last weekend which Kyiv said were the largest of the war so far.

Russian Air And Drone Strikes On Ukraine
Russian air and drone strikes on Ukraine haved surged in 2025, to over 2,000 monthly
strikes. Though this data ends June 27, 2025, Ukraine's Air Force reported 537 strikes
on June 29 alone -- indicating June would likely exceed May's peak of 2,436 strikes.

Official figures provided by the Ukrainian Air Force put the numbers even higher. It said Russia fired a record 5,438 drones in June.  .  .  .

General Discussion / Re: Thought For The Day by John Jaeger, MBA

I can think of nothing more satisfying than helping others, in as many ways as possible, daily.
1. For your own health, take a walk with the love of your life every day, as my Love taught me to do with her.  When you see litter on your walk, pick it up and put it in a plastic grocery bag you always take with you.  We dumped ours three times along every walk.  If you see any problems, report them to the city department responsible for that area.  Illegal signs to code enforcement.  Electrical hazards to maintenance.  Overgrown plants to landscaping.  Potholes or street/sidewalk problems to street maintenance. Get to know them all.

2.  When you see a burned-out brake light, honk and show the driver your sign "BRAKE LIGHT OUT" in big, bold letters 3 inches high.  Keep them safe.

3.  When you see a corporate car, van, or truck speeding or driving illegally, write down identifying license plate or vehicle number and name of company.  Record where it was and what it was doing so you can call or email the company when you get to your computer . You might save a life or prevent a wreck.

4.  If you see something that needs to be addressed, take charge.   Someone stole a shopping cart and left it in the park for three days.  So I tied it tight to the back of my bumper and towed it to the grocery store half a mile away.  Did the same thing with six Target shopping carts thrown into the concrete canal and towed all six a mile before the police woman pulled me over.  "What are you doing?"
"Well, nobody else returned these shopping carts from the river bottom, so I'm doing it."  She called for a city truck to relieve me of my duties.

5.  Report dead animals you see in the street, or pick them up yourself.  Police dispatch will take care of it.

6.  When you gentlemen see a lady on the side of the highway or freeway with a flat tire, stop and change it out for her.  Easy for a man.  Very difficult for most all women.  Ive done it many times.  Imagine if that was your wife or daughter.  Take care of her as if she were.

I would hate to think the New Braunfels city officials would take 'this' time to test the Emergency Sirens.

Though this property is 2 blocks from the intersection of the Comal/Guadalupe River and I don't have Home Insurance I'm high enough elevation, both physically and mentally, to bypass most of the damage.

Vlad gave his answer to peace, Mr. President: We must re-arm Ukraine

By Post Editorial Board  |  Published July 4, 2025, 3:40 p.m. ET

Mr. President, we know you understand that the primary obstacle to peace in Ukraine is Russia’s aggression.

You said you were “disappointed” in the conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and that you “don’t think he’s looking to stop.”

Putin again insisted he was unwilling to commit to a ceasefire until the “root causes” of the conflict were addressed.

For Vlad, the “root cause” is the existence of Ukraine.

He followed your call with the largest drone and missile strike of the war, killing at least one.

So why, Mr. President, is your administration punishing Ukraine?

The Pentagon has halted the anti-missile and drone weapons needed to protect the civilians of Kyiv. You remember the desperation on the face of the Ukrainian reporter you touchingly spoke to in the Netherlands, her fears for her husband and her family.

Why are we threatening to abandon her?

There is a belief, being pushed by twisted ideologues, that helping Ukraine is somehow hurting the United States, and not in our best interest. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Officials claim we have a weapons shortage, but many of these arms were already allocated — some were already in Poland.

Ukraine is paying for them, partly from seized Russian assets and European grants, a stimulus for our industries to make more.

In fact, our military can use that money — and the intelligence it is gathering from Ukraine’s successful resistance — to make better drones and anti-missile technology.

It builds the foundation of the Golden Dome.

But most importantly, Ukraine’s fate sends a message to the world about America. Russia is not an economic superpower to be unlocked. It is a dying terrorist state. Putin is willing to spend the blood of his people in a last grasp for empire.

If we let him succeed, if we help him succeed, it won’t just threaten Europe. It will tell China that our alliances are fickle, our patience short.  .  .  .

Excerpt:
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is taking bold action to outlaw what many Americans believe is one of the most underreported and dangerous practices in modern times: weather manipulation.

In a fiery announcement on X, Greene unveiled new legislation that would make it a felony to inject, disperse, or release chemicals into the atmosphere for the purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity.

Why was this allowed to begin with??
Make it make sense.

This is Kyiv right now. I will not stop until the bombs stop. Many Ukraine’s fall abandoned by the world.  Many are sending their goodbye to their families outside of Ukraine.  This is not God's will. Putin, you can not beca Christian and do this to other Christians, Jews, & Muslims. The world must not be silent. This is about humanity, not political power.
